What theme park rides won't you go on?

The most intense ride I ever went on was X at six flags in LA. You get so disoriented that you're essentially being hurtled along with no idea what direction you're going in. The first time I was actually scared on a rollercoaster. The second time I rode it was fun, but the first time was a bit too much. I think I'd pussy out of rides like that these days!

Love all things like rollercoasters/Gypo rides although once you've been on afew i feel it starts to get samey.

Those water slides actually make me stop for a second, give me that feeling in the stomach like this is a mistake! good fun

Anything erected by a ***** in a field which involves leaving the ground! i.e. Not dodgems. For reasons of extortionate cost, as week as safety.

Anything at a theme park goes though. I'm a man, not a mouse.

Cedar point is great have been twice now. Six flags magic mountain in California is good, they have a drop tower there that's the same design as apocalypse at Drayton manor, but for comparison:

Detonator (Thorpe) - 115 ft
Apocalypse (Drayton) - 180 ft
Drop of doom (six flags mm) - 400 ft

Terrifying but awesome!

none. i haven't been to any theme parks in the UK tbh. but i've been to disney land paris, and at the same time parc asterix. which were both quite fun. i'd never wuss out of going on a ride though.

Don't like drops due to the feeling you get in your stomach/chest. I've tried Oblivion once and won't be doing it again.

Odd.. Rita is pretty tame for a rollercoaster.

Subjectively, I'm sure it is. For others who have never been on a rollercoaster before, perhaps it isn't all that pleasant.

I think the thing with Rita is a) The initial acceleration and b) Your brain telling you there should be no possible way the rollercoaster can make that first turn.

Quite - this is the exact issue I had with it.

Seriously?

Rita is a very mild roller coaster, other than being fast it's not much different to driving a car lol.

Seriously.

It's interesting you should mention the car aspect, actually. When me and my mate were leaving Alton Towers, they opened up one of the country lanes as a second exit (it was Bonfire Night). He was still winding me up about the rollercoaster experience so I decided I'd get my own back. I don't think I let my car drop below 5,000rpm round the country lanes. His face was similar to how mine was on Rita :D

I remember the first coaster I went on, the Steamin Demon at Great Escape in New York. I was petrified during the climb and didn't expect the drop or speed to be so severe. Now I know that there are far worse coasters, but at the time I was pretty scared, but also loved it.

I'll go on anything in a "proper" theme park. I've always thought most dangerous rides to go on are those at dodgy fairs and so on. The best rollercoaster I've been on is Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ. It was the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the world until recently... it's very simple, but the acceleration, speed and drop is just absolutely breathtaking.

I went on Summit Plummet twice at Disney a couple of years ago, that is properly scary aswell :D
