I'm not watching new BBC serial HMS woke/Vigil,
After 10minutes , coloured submarine captain, bi-sexual female dogmatic detective with mental problems,
melodramatic scenes - slipping on conning tower ladder, tears as body-bag conducted down submarine ..... is it a parody.
had never even dabbled in Line of duty apparently from same team
my partner is watching this tat. 2 episodes so far. in the 1st episode HMS Woke managed to sink a fishing trawler full of brits (they couldnt even find a French one). and in episode 2 it collided with a tanker. thats definitely some woke piloting.

That sounds like a spoiler, was it the tanker from the Panama incident
I started reading the list of Vigil production flaws on imdb (my echo chamber ?) last night, more fun than the show

[had hopes for new itv drama with stephen graham ... and jody comer

War of the Worlds on Disney+ Series 2 just watched Episode 7 which is basically the big reveal to the storyline.
Not sure how I feel about finally find out the why's and how's its such a big diversion from the original story. Enjoying it as its Sci Fi
but trying not to think of the gaping plot holes that are constantly there.

Just also read they have commissioned Series 3 which will be out 2022.

Long way to go but keep watching. ;)

That’s a good shout, might watch that next.

Bit slow in places and some really obvious plot holes which seem to be due to budget rather than anything else when
into second season ramps up a little. Quite enjoying it. Just don't expect the traditional "War of the Worlds".

Makes me wonder what they do for the 3rd season.

Is it just me that really enjoyed it?!

Obviously it’s all a bit faked and over the top etc, but quite enjoying the setting for Vigil so far. 6 episodes though I think, so concerned it will go a bit far fetched with a twist a some point.

Enjoying this, nearly through the first season. The characters are complete idiots, but it’s enjoyable sci-fi if you don’t think too hard.

Currently watching the new 9/11 / Al-Qaeda documentary series on Netflix. Always a fascinating and extraordinary series of events that unfolded. Still gives me the chills seeing the jumpers from the towers. :( I'm about half way through and it's a really well made documentary. Almost 20 years since it happened.
