What TV shows are you currently watching

I think that's almost my point though. I see so many references to Ted Lasso (well, I've seen some, which is more than most TV shows I watch) and I expect most of them don't have A+, it's that well known.

It's not often you come across folk who have an Apple+ sub though unfortunately, at least in my day to day experience with work colleagues and friends. I guess that would skew more to A+ if I worked in something more tech based perhaps.

I'm kind of bored of recommending a lot of shows to colleagues to almost uniformly be greeted with 'is it on Netflix?' and then if it's not, 'I won't bother then'

Netflix has become the 5 channels folks used to hop for something to watch, rather than look to other platforms I feel most just load Netflix and browse til something appeals. A shame as the majority of good content is away from that platform right now.

Ha! I don't recommend shows to anyone, as i know when people tell me "you MUST watch this show!" I'll tell them i'll check it out - knowing i will do no such thing :)

People will ask what i'm watching and i'll tell them - up to them if they want to follow up or not.

There was a guy on the unofficial Discord who uses to recommend it a lot and i've seen some mentions on here, outside of that, not a lot about it.

I intend to give it a go - Barclaycard gave me 5 months free AppleTV and i'm surprised how much stuff of interest there actually is on there after a thorough browse.

I wouldn't say I go out of my way to mention shows, just when they come up in conversation naturally but more often than not, the reply is 'is it on netflix?' :(

I feel like, at least twice, I've been watching something on TV and they've made reference to Ted Lasso. I'm also fairly sure I've seen meme's featuring the show. It could just be that thing where someone points something out, then you can't stop noticing it (there is a name for it? eg I bought an estate car, and now I notice how many estate cars are on the roads)

A quick google and this article has S2 and S1 taking two of the top 5 slots in Apple's most watched. Apparently, of the top 15 streamed shows in 2021 (in the US, tbf), only three weren't Netflix and one of those was Ted Lasso. There are other articles listing TL as the #1 show to watch on Apple. We're probably spending far too much time on this  I suppose, all I'm saying, the post made out like it was a little known show that could do with more people knowing about it... which I wouldn't say is the case.

The GTA effect, you steal a car and suddenly all the same cars are on the road :)

I'm just as guilty going off on a tangent about Netflix :D

I just finished The Offer, guys, this is easily the best show of 2022, I loved every minute of it and is just amazing from beginning to end. I cannot recommend this enough. Zero woke garbage is an added bonus and a refreshing change from the constant agenda

The making of The Godfather, believe me it's way more compelling than it sounds.

Bob Evans made me laugh so much in this  And I didn't know that real Mafia didn't want this made and then tried to get in on the production! Oh and **** Frank Sinatra

Watched this week, what I guess is the last ever episode of New Amsterdam. Generally a nice show. I think that was 5 seasons and whilst not a show I would go out of my way to recommend, it was generally well written and well acted with a reasonable feel-good factor with a few sad moments thrown in.

Echo 3 - I'm going to spoil it because while the show is slightly above average with decent action, the ending made me so angry is ruined the entire season for me.

The premise is that the wife of a military Special Forces officer gets kidnapped by freedom fighters in Colombia (the main reason i watched it) and is held hostage because they think she's CIA (not really just a sub-contractor) The show is him and his brother in law who's in the same unit work out how to rescue her. In the last two episodes, they launch a daring raid to get her out successfully and kill most of the kidnappers at the eve of her execution.

Right at the end, this woman tells the husband she's not going back to the US with him because he killed too many people to get her out, and promptly left him. ******* UNGRATEFUL LITTLE BITCH. If was him i would have driven her stupid ass back to the compound and dumped her back at the doorstep!

Don't bother, made me feel i wasted hours that i could have used otherwise

That is some serious rage you have going on.

I binged White Lotus, didn't expect to like it but couldn't stop watching it.
I just finished S1 and enjoyed it, although the young girl was rather annoying, but I guess that was kinda the point. I love the music they use. A very unique style. It's a little odd in there's no strong storyline, just things happening, but it's quite good fun.
