What TV shows are you currently watching

Gangs of London - Holy **** that was brutal!! But really really good!
Season 1? I have some cringe inducing memories of a knee being bent the wrong way around the end of a pub bar and someones face being used as sandpaper down a wall.

The violence of the first season was gloriously over the top and fun, akin to Banshee.

I keep forgetting it's out when choosing a new show to watch - will start it with the missus when we finish Mayor Of Kingstown.
Qudos to you misses for watching that, mine wouldn't get passed the first episode  She noped out John Wick 3 with the knife fight at the beginning despite being a huge fan of Kenau

I'm lucky that we have the majority of the same tastes. She still likes her easy going romance bits and pieces but she is happy to watch by herself, she draws the line at quite bloody/gory horror though.

Then be forwarned then, although it isn't classed as horror, it's very bloody/gory, there a number of torture scenes scattered throughout that are quite difficult to watch, not quite Saw/Hostal level but pretty extreme for non-horror

Ah, she did Hostel ok and we've watched all the Saw films so she'll be alright - couldn't get her to watch the latest Terrifier, that was pretty much violence for violence sake though.

I started on 1923 and feel it's similar to 1883. I can't help but generally dislike the Dutton's in this latest slice of American history. Maybe it's just me, or maybe we're supposed to think they're just d*cks that you'd like to slap.

I just finished, well watched all of what was available of, 1923 last night. I rather enjoyed the 4 episodes out so far. I loved 1883 though, was a brilliant 10 part movie. Now I'm sad that I've watched everything Yellowstone related for a few weeks. There is supposedly another series coming out, 6666, based on the Four Sixes ranch. Looking forward to that

I like the Dutton's though. They seem like the epitome of 'firm but fair'.

Haven't started either 1883 or 1923, just up to date on Yellowstone, watching more from habit now though. Latest season has just been episode after episode of 'ain't cowboying great' - sit down, look whistfully into distance while another country song plays.

6666 would be an immediate watch for me though, Jimmy had some proper growth and development throughout the earlier Yellowstone series.

Binged the first series of Ted Lasso, and cannot stop recommending to people. It is brilliant on every level - writing and acting is superb, and brightens your day. Pity is is buried on Apple+ as it deserves a bigger audience.

There is a new ish program started on BBC1 called Make It at Market.

They basically get 2 people who want/need the help to turn their hobbies into viable businesses.

Yesterday they had a guy who was into glass blowing and a neurosurgeon who was a potter.

The glass blower also had some bees and he came up with the unique selling point of mixing honey into his bowls.

It is a good-feel type program so perfect for these cold winter months! :)

Just finished Severance. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Gangs of London to finish next.
TLOU as it airs.
Love Island if the wife somehow gets the remote if I leave the room at 9pm. :|

Well, I would say it's very possibly Apple's best known show... no?
It's not often you come across folk who have an Apple+ sub though unfortunately, at least in my day to day experience with work colleagues and friends. I guess that would skew more to A+ if I worked in something more tech based perhaps.

I'm kind of bored of recommending a lot of shows to colleagues to almost uniformly be greeted with 'is it on Netflix?' and then if it's not, 'I won't bother then'

Netflix has become the 5 channels folks used to hop for something to watch, rather than look to other platforms I feel most just load Netflix and browse til something appeals. A shame as the majority of good content is away from that platform right now.
