What TV shows are you currently watching

Finished Tour de France Unchained on Netflix. Is it the same people as D2S, or they just copied the style? It kinda of follows through the race, but still jumps back and forth as it switches to different people and teams. It also has the very fake commentary, which was almost funny at one point -

Wout Van Art (in studio) - "I had to go beyond my limits"

Cut to scene from race - fake commentator - "And Wout Van Art is going beyond his limits..."

It's nice to get to know a little around a few of the riders you might not usually hear from, but if you follow pro cycling, it's not much extra.

I did love, I think it was in the last episode, following Jacobson in his effort to make it to Paris. You don't see that sort of thing in the GCN highlights. Such a shame he dropped a chain as the sprint began.

What are the best things to watch on Apple TV+?

Enjoying Ted Lasso at the moment, quite a few others look pretty interesting though.
Black bird is quite good.

It's funny I just ordered the book as I wanted more :p
My strongest suggestion, atthough you've just watched it all - start from book 1, there are some striking differences both in story and characters. While the series is fairly faithful, books 7 - 9 might leave you scratching your head a touch.

Up to the end of S5 of The Shield, just 'that' Lem episode left to go on my 3rd watch through and it's aged really well despite the earliest episodes being over 20 years old.

Some excellent performances all the way through, the characters remain consistent in tone and it feels grounded and never goes over the top, this latest season with Forest Whitaker has been a standout.

You could see even back then that Walton Goggins was destined for higher things.

Currently binging "See" on Apple, highly enjoyable and not what I expected.

Some great battle scenes.

Watched 'Arnold' on Netflix. It's only 3 x 1 hour episodes, so quite quick and easy and an interesting watch.

damn it, I was also about the post that :D

yeah, basically did the same. its about arnold swarznegger (probably spelt that wrong) basically telling everyone how great he is . Still worthwhile to watch through

Finished off Succession last night, a mostly satisfying ending from an objective standpoint, from a personal like/dislike of characters, emotions and frustrations were certainly running high :D

It's not something i'd consider a top 10 show but certainly something i'll come back to a rewatch in a few years - it had moments of absolute brilliance throughout.

Really tried to get into it but the humor just never quite pushed my buttons. That Ianucci style is something that just cannot be imitated.

I can understand that, you're either going to gel with it immediately or it's just going to be abrasive.

My biggest gripe is this sort of corporate half speak all the way through, where no one says what they think, sort of start a sentence and are immediately trying to gauge reactions before completing sentences - makes watching some interactions very tiring.

I watched It's A Sin on Netflix. Was a reasonably good watch about the gay scene in the 80's and the AIDS outbreak.

I've moved on to Cable Girls, (also Netflix) in Spanish with English subs, to help my learning of the language.

Comedy-wise I'm watching Workin Moms (...also Netflix) which is a little different, but reasonably good so far.

We're currently on something called Loot. It's fairly amusing in an easy to watch kind of way.

Watching Platonic too, but i can't quite get excited about it. Only just found the new series of Barry too and only 3 episodes in.

Just started watching this. I know enough about pro-cycling that I know the main teams and their riders but that's about it. So this is brilliant for me as I loved the first episode.

Though I imagine for people who follow the pro scene, it's probably nothing special. I love F1 but I hate Drive to Survive (dragged through S1 and never went back) so it's probably the same feeling

Watched the first episode of Blue Lights last night, based in Belfast and following 3 new police recruits. Decent opener with enough intrigue to make me want to carry on, fairly by the numbers but believe it's from the Line of Duty writers so not really surprising.
