What TV shows are you currently watching

One of my favourite standalone series of the last few years, very well crafted for a multi layer story across continents and the acting/set pieces, especially in the south american parts is outstanding.

Have you watched Gomorra, hits very similar beats?

Yup seen, Gomorra...and Suburra.

Keen to hear of any other good series along those lines. Mafia, Cartels, etc. I know all the usuals like Narcos, etc.

ZeroZeroZero

It's about the drug trade from all aspects. The cartels themselves, the people who ship the drugs and the mafia who take the drugs at the port. Very good.

Good cast - Gabriel Byrne, Dana DeHaan
In the second episode
they flew the shot father home from Mexico then drove him home instead of going to literally any hospital. Oh no, he died! One of the daftest things I’ve ever seen.

If you go to the hospital with a GSW the police are all over it. Questions. Looking into things. Could ruin everything he built. Although I admit the kind of money they are dealing with you have a private doctor on your pay who asks no questions

I've just finished watching the Australian crime series Savage River. It's only 6 episodes (though each episode is quite long).

It's a deep tangled storyline done in a light slow atmosphere.

A couple of faces are known from other shows like Wentworth, Mystery Road Origin, and one actress was in the excellent Australian police series, City Homicide (Nadine Garner).

It's currently on channel 5's app.
Like Oz stuff so will give this a go.

Nadine Garner, blimey don't think I've seen her in anything since The Henderson Kids.

I think I remember that show when I was young.

If you have Amazon Prime then I recommend City Homicide as Garner is a regular in that.

If you used to watch neighbours back in the day there is quite a few familiar faces appear.

This week is a stunning week for TV, my weekend will be binged on TV alone I think lol

Citadel. What a silly show but we we're still entertained. Madden doesn't have much range.

And we're now watching Hijack. Not bad but I guarantee no way a plane could alert a serious security incident and then say "ah nah, all good up here" without some proper scrutiny. Plus it's incredibly frustrating the language the characters use, ambiguous as **** when trying to alert people. It should be called 'there's an incident' not Hijack.

Watching netflix: madoff monster of wallstreet

It is a docuseries about how bernie madoff screwed over a lot of people in the biggest wallstreet ponzie scheme to date.

It is a good watch if you are into watching how a manipulative liar can create a messed up system which corrupts people for greed for his own benefit.

Finished Succession last week and Currently on a rewatch of Fringe. Started Season 3 last week.

Also Season 4 of Star Trek Discovery and White House Plumbers.

Moral of the story is don't rob rich people. Be like the rest of Wall St and only rob the poor of their money and receive total impunity.

Just started Inside Man on Netflix. 2 of 4 watched. Different, not what I thought it would be. Quite like it though. Maybe it's me but the colours seem weird, like overly vibrant. Maybe I'm too used to watching washed out American shows.
