What Virtual Reality games are you playing?

If you like Beat Saber, did you try Pistol Whip? Or Synth Riders (there is a demo on SideQuest) Audica is another Rhythm game that some people like. There is a also a new game out called Against. There is demo on Steam. It's pretty cool.

Or are you only playing Standalone games (not connecting to PC)?

Also like most I'm also desperate for a GPU upgrade hahaha

Got a Reverb G2 turning up later which will be my first foray into VR, really looking forward to it.

I've got a wishlist of VR titles to pluck from including HL Alyx, S&S and Eleven Table Tennis. I already have MSFS, DCS, Elite Dangerous and NMS so they will be getting the VR treatment too.

Now all I need is time, and a lot of it!

Are there any particular titles that you would say are best/ideal for a VR first timer or just leap in to the big names straight away?

I'd avoid anything that involves locomotion via the analogue sticks to begin with while you get your VR legs. Table Tennis a good place to start.

Also check out The Lab (steam freebie)

I started with project cars 2 then elite and found them ok. You're sitting down and have the cockpit as a frame of reference in the game.

Thanks for the advice much appreciated. A good shout regarding started off seated - it would be embarrassing to sustain an injury on my first sessions!

Cheers.

i think you got the wrong end of the stick mate @rich_h

what they mean is, you need less intense stuff

games like Project Cars etc even though they are seated experiences, they are what we call "intense" so they are not for beginners as they are fast moving games which will give you the feeling of sickness

you need to start easy / slow and build up to games like project cars Hellblade VR, Half life Alyx etc etc

first steps, beat saber, table tennis are all good starters

Understood, thanks for that. I'll definintely start off with some gentle titles before going for the more intense experiences.

Thanks all for the help!
