What watch do you wear?

If you don't wear something then sell it for something you do wear (or just get your money back), don't get emotionally attached to a watch unless its an heirloom. It's just a watch.

feeling that as I have a 2020 dateless sub that has been worn prob 4 times since Sept last year. Maybe time for a profit?

I was going to have a chat with my AD re one of these. Problem is I’ve already got 3 Tudor watches and it feels just more of the same.

recently picked up an Omega Seamaster 300 2531.80 again, one I totally regret selling in 2014 and paid double now.
I've spoken to a few and the consensus seems to be that they are like hen's teeth. I've been looking for a few months now with no joy.

oh well, I’ll stick with plan A, 2021 Batman, which he seemed pretty optimistic for.
Got a BB Blue - ETA, tbh my favourite on a nato
Tudor Pelagos Black - ETA
BB58, which is more meh and most likely one to ditch

If you can get a Batman I'll eat my hat (get me a Batgirl whilst you're at it?)

Thought I would treat myself for Christmas. Just arrived, IWC Portofino Manual Wind Moon Phase, really pleased with it

Lovely, looking to be in the market for a dress watch and I absolutely love the idea of a moon phase. Tried this on at Heathrow but couldn’t commit!

My watches seem soooooo much lamer than most of your lots, but i love them, ignore the yellow strap on the Sieko Chrono, it's my designated Rugby watch and the strap are the clubs colours

My head must have been damaged i can't figure out how to embed the photo, but heres the link https://imgur.com/vgwyMTC

Chisholm hunter had it on the bracelet today at £860

Hah just checked, looks like all the usual places that had the last stock batch are now sold out.

eBay is looking interesting though, £740 lowest price.

Lume check

Both Seiko and Stowa after about 10 mins settle into their dim night glow. you can see them with dark adjusted eyes a couple hours later which is cool. The Swiss lume is applied much more evenly from hands to dial and just looks more premium compared to Lumibrite, but Lumibrite is very nice too.

Where would you go to sell a Omega Seamaster from 2001 and a Rolex Submariner from 2008?

Prefer my g-shock to be honest. Enjoyed having them for the time I have, but my interests have changed.

Was given my grandfathers pocket watch today.

Seems to have an issue with it though as it is wound but somethings not budging to make the hands go round. I can manually move the balance spring to get some movement but it stops within a few seconds or if i tilt the watch slightly. Having ordered up some tools and I've borrowed my dad's precision screwdriver set I'll have a practice on my ebay pocket watch before delving into this to see if i can identify whats wrong or I'll pop it into a jewellers to get it fixed properly!

No idea what they are like in terms of the sort of money they offer but watchfinder is one of the places that will buy your watches

Get a quote from watchfinder then let me know how much you want for the Subby

Thanks.

Interesting. The seamaster is I guess quite common. Full size mechanical chronometer. They immediately said they had a few of them and didn't want it via email.

The submariner they immediately offered 8k subject to inspection. It has a small dent in the case and a mark on the oyster, so I guess they would drop the offer on inspection. Memories of regular use. And nothing I know they couldn't buff out pretty easily.

The sub has never been serviced and never skipped a beat.

The seamaster has been serviced a few times as it began to loose time.

Service was completely automated and instant to this point. Obviously...it's Christmas day.
