What watch do you wear?

A little advice if possible. I quite like the watches I have (some Seiko and nicer Swatches) and I'm a fan of the likes of the Tag formula 1, the cocktail time one from Seiko and Rolex DateJust ranges. I'm a bit against wearing a very expensive watch everyday but would like something that looks a bit like a DateJust isn't terrible quality but maybe sits at the £500-£1500 range, just wondering if anyone might have some recommendations.

Thanks

UL
I'm replying to my own post like an idiot, but I ended up with a Tissot, I can't quite believe it took me two years almost to make the decision but at least I finally have. It's nothing too fancy just a standard black seamaster https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-gb/t1204171105100.html but it's scrated the ictch which was the next watch up from a Seiko 5.

I liked them from ages ago but wished they came in a smaller size and without a date window (heh what's new) :p

I swapped over the Hirsch Arne from the Laco to the Marine Classic and dare I say it, this combo slaps. Once the grey Barton hybrid Cordura arrives I will put that on the Laco as that worked well but the grey calfskin upper just gives the Marine some "pop" if that makes sense. I love it.

Fair. I am completely at zen with my watch collection now I'd say. It's unlikely I'll get anything else for a long time.

Only slight annoyance is the non hacking secunds movement but it is a movement from the 70s so kind of expected..and I've lost interest in keeping track of synchronised time now having been there done that. Nowadays I just align the minute hand if needed and call it a day :D

Edit*
Today the Barton Bands cordura hybrid straps finally arrived! This is the order issue I mentioned ages ago going on since Feb time. The chocolate brown one really suits the Stowa Bronze, and the grey naturally has gone back on the Laco matte grey case.

I've been looking for a cheap everyday GMT for a while and just seen sekio is releasing a 5 GMT. I'm almost certainly going to get one of these once I can get my hands on one

@mrk Lovely collection, congrats.

you got a Favourite one or does that change by the day?
Tough answer really as I like them all for similar reasons such as historical significance, hand winding movements, really nice crowns to interact with. Each has their own little detail touches that I can look at closely too. At the moment I have spent more time wearing the Marine 36 though because of the white gloss painted dial and how it looks overall. Never had a white dial watch before and it certainly stands out, but the Laco with its blue AR coating is also very eye catching to me as my arm moves about in the light and the matte grey case is almost stealth which adds to that unique combination. Oh I also like the mineral glass on the Hamilton, it's unique in that it has double sided AR coating which is very rare to see on mineral glass, but it adds a bit of extra dimension when looking at the dial and the boxed distortion is really cool too.

Moving on from the heresy of post 21,355...

This is the newest (and priciest so far) in my collection, the unmistakable Monaco Calibre 11. I think it's a love it or hate it watch and I can see why some don't like it, especially at that price point. Was purchased new in November 2021 according to warranty card but I bought in March this year at second hand watch dealer here in Melbourne with full B&P. Have wanted one for years. Had to be the McQueen though.

Congrats on the purchase, always nice to get "the one".

Seen Max wear a similar one a few times, it's not for me but my watches probably aren't for you either.

Is that the one using the Calibre Heuer 02 movement since it's a 2021 model?

The Monaco in Steve McQueen blue is one of my long term desirable as it's something a little different and also iconic for car/racing enthusiasts like me. I just could not come to a justification to buy one at the prices they were going for!

Having said that, one of those on a Hirsche Arne in navy blue or a Joseph Bonnie Tropic would look

Looking at picking up a Steinhart titanium 500 to tie myself over until I'm 40 (eep only two years away) when I'll get a "big boy" watch in the form of a Breitling / Omega / Tudor etc.

How have owners of Steinharts gotten on with them here, nothing much to worry about?

I dont own one, would love to, i think they look fantastic but after having owned a titanium watch for the last 10 years, titanium seems to be a scratch magnet. I love how light they are but almost impossible to keep them looking fresh,

If you look at used ones for sale on ebay you will see what I mean.

Hmm, may push the boat out for a Ocean 39 GMT premium 500 Ceramic, which is steel in that case - as I did not realise the titanium would scratch so easily!
