What watch do you wear?

Steinhart do make some great watches. I was close to getting a 39mm Ocean but then came across Helson Shark Diver 38mm and have forveer been waiting for stock of the no-date version in Titanium - Reasonably priced too around the 500 mark from last time I looked. Obviously no desire any more but if I were buying a diver, would definitely hold out for one of those. 100% tool watch aesthetics.

Edit*
Cannot get enough of this dial in the light:

Christopher Ward turning into the DFS of watches it seems. Every week I seem to get a £100 off voucher email.
They've long had sporadic up to 50% off sales, so waiting for those is the usual guidance from watch folk.

That being said, it's the sort of thing that causes longer term trouble for a 'luxury' brand, so they may be phasing those out, if they've not done so already.

Edit: 'luxury' not as a slight on CW, but on the term itself which I find pretty meaningless.

Yeah seen those before but these £100 off emails have become more and more frequent over the last few months it seems to the point I notice them almost weekly.

Just had an email from Helson's main man who promised to let me know when the new models go live. The all lumed dial with skeleton hands looks very nice I have to say. If I didn't just buy the Stowa, I'd snap one right up!

Has anyone replaced a strap on a G-Shock? I quite like the look of the watches but no so much the straps. Difficult to tell how easy/ difficult it would be to add a more amenable strap

I have, it is simple but tedious. Getting the springbar back in is a task of perfect alignment as there is the tab that rests against the caseback. To install a non -gshock strap though you will need to buy strap adapters adapters that fit in the g-shock lugs that then give you normal lug style to attach a new strap.
