What watch do you wear?

Thanks dowie. I haven't considered a Stowa. I'll look into it. I went and had a look at the Fortis Flieger and it was a bit underwhelming. It didn't feel as solid as my old Spacematic GMT.

I'm keeping a very close eye on the range of Kemmner watches (erkahund on eBay). The reviews seem to suggest that these are excellent watches for the money.

yeah don't seem too bad, am tempted myself at those prices - if you're dropping the budget a bit the Steinhart and Archemidi are also apparently worth a look - both companies also do the same pilot style watch:

Thank you and yep Richy is correct! :D - Ordering a black strap for it, I like the metal bracelet but it's a bit blingy for me, I'm definitely more of a subtle kind of person.

People, this man is a bad influence :p

I'll take some proper SLResque photos tonight for y'all :)

I'll give you 6 months before you are looking at your next watch, you've got the taste now mate!

After a few beers I decided to take the plunge and buy this:

It has the blue hands. First thing I'll be doing when I get it is removing that horrible blue strap and replacing it with something more appropriate, turning the beast into this beauty...

I can't wait!

Where is the best place to get a strap to match the one in the above photo? Something of quite high quality preferably.

I'm not usually a fan of skeleton watches but seeing the transformation made by the different strap really appealed to me. I need a dress watch and this looks the part and is pretty damn good value too.

Where you buy that from ?

^^^ e-bay

I believe he's an independent watchmaker who just sells through his e-bay store - seems to use either Swiss (ETA) or Chinese (Seagull) movements.

Scuzi that looks fantastic! :) - How much did you pay?
After the Euro exchange rate it came out at £218. It has a manual Seagull movement so nothing fancy in that department, hence the price, but I just fell in love with the look of it.

A chap by the name of Roland Kemmner sells watches occasionally on eBay. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to what he sells. I've been told if you see something you like that you must grab it since it may never appear again!
