That's really nice Bear but for my tastes I'd say it was a bit too formal!

I guess I'm more a big fan of that workhorse look with straight edges and lines :p

Went shopping for a Christmas present for my old dear....
Ended up purchasing this for myself. :D

(Google image for now as I've had to order the exact model I wanted as it wasn't in stock in the shop)

I see. So basically, charge 10 times the price of a knock off, call it a homage.....profit!:p

The Submariner wasn't even the first watch to have that type of look, see the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

It's just a classic design and there's nothing wrong with wanting something that looks like it for less money, as long as it's a quality product.

Is there a good place to find second hand watches? I'm talking about big brand Swiss watches.

Add http://www.chronomaster.co.uk/ for A1 condition Swiss.

My current daily watch:

I've been travelling to a lot of less hospitable places lately so I've switched to something a tad more rugged. Love the new G-shock bracelet!
I have the exact same black face one with the bracelet. Very stealth, love it.

I have mechanics hands and wrists so the 49mm should suit me. It is a beast, I'll give you that. :D

Bear in mind there is a different movement in the "standard" 1000..
