What watch do you wear?

The second one the SKX007J1 is the Japanese version and is made in Japan.

Other than some markings it's exactly the same - http://forums.watchuseek.com/f281/differences-between-skx007k-skx007j-explained-81783.html

hmmm, not really. Japan has very lax legalities around the usage of the phrase 'made in ...' when compared to Europe. In the sense that we may expect from 'made in Japan', seiko J watches are not made in Japan, hence they can only have that phrase on them when being sold in the Japan domestic market.

Picked this up yesterday £40 as i needed something cheap and cheerful to wear. I'm surprised at how nice it was for the money. Face is easy to read and watch is solar powered.

No where near as flash as some of the pieces in this thread but wears nice and really pleased.

For a basic piece, I like that. It's bold and stands out well. Where did you get it for £40 as I quite fancy one.

/edit - and what exact model is it?

Hi Feek, it's the Pulsar PX3001X1 and I picked it up from the major high street catalogue shop. Its in the sale at the moment for £39.99

Just ordered a early 80's Tudor Prince Oysterdate, in what looks to be very nice condition.

Paid top end money for it really, but I really quite like the 80's version. Still has the Rolex markings on the rear of the case, is modern enough to wear everyday, but with a hint of retro! Will post some photos when I receive it.

Thanks - Argos part number is 213/5052 and I've got one reserved for pick up tomorrow. It's quite small compared to what I normally wear so if I don't like it, of course I don't have to have it when I go and try it on. May as well spend the Nectar points on something.

It's a 42mm but the face looks quite large due to the bezel being quite thin. I used to love big watches but find I prefer a smaller watch now but 42 still being quite large.

A small tip, when doing the initial charge, get it in the window with some good daylight. This will help charge the watch a lot faster. The watch lets you know when the charge is low as it reverts to 2 sec movement on the second hand instead of 1 sec movement.

Ahh OK - The Argos site says the face is 35mm and the overall diameter with crown is 44mm. I guess it'll be best to see what it's like.

Will do, thanks. My solar G-Shock does the same but it's never been low enough that it's dropped to two second ticks.

Agreed. Far too busy for my liking.

You can't get much more busy than the skyhawks but I do like them. I like the red arrows ones but think I'd probably go for the blue angels. The deep blue and yellow looks nice.
