What watch do you wear?

Ive been eyeing up a few christopher ward watches, they seem well made and look pretty good. My dad has several higher end seiko's and accurists thhat are quite nice too. He has promised them too me. Which i hope wont be for a long time yet.:)

Speaking of 1964, just bought that. Bulova Accutron Spaceview, 18K solid gold -- ultimate geekness alert!

Cheers - I like it and yes, very strong, however its very light being carbon fibre

As for the lume, its odd - it seems to get brighter the darker the surroundings so against a fully charged lume in daylight / poor light no (still perfectly readable) but then in full darkness it is just as good but obviously doesn't dim

Very nice just ordered mine awaiting delivery :)

Hope you got it sub £200 :)

I got it for free - my first nice watch. Although its going back to ernest jones tomorrow as it decided to spit out all of the links yesterday.

I think I may have bent one trying to put it back in so they can just fix it... I'm not doing it. 6 year warranty and all that.

Nice. You can't get cooler than having carbon fibre and a radioactive substance on your wrist

Girlfriend bought me a watch for Christmas that I hated and have returned it so looking at replacements around the £200 mark (that's including me putting money towards one if necessary but could stretch budget slightly if I really like one). Turned 30 this year so want a watch that reflects that if that's such a thing.

I like this Armani one I've seen.

Any suggestions on brands or watches in my budget I may not have considered or seen yet? I know watches tend to be a personal taste but I quite like faces that have dials on them but would consider ones without. One that tells date and day of week too would be a benefit but not a necessity. I currently have a Casio Edifice but would ideally like something a bit different but I'm finding some of the plain ones a bit boring.

However having said I want something a bit different, I really like the look of that Citizen Calibre 8700 black posted a few posts ago but realistically out of budget as I'm saving up for a deposit for a house. Argh decisions!

Could you wait a little longer and save a further £100?

These are nice watches:

Its my 30th Birthday on Thursday and as a present I want to treat myself to a new watch.

Budget is around £450 - £500 max I would say. It seems I missed out on a 42mm CW Trident @ £450 however I have sent them a message as it was showing in stock but wouldn't let me add to basket, a few days later it disappears.

If I can't strike a deal with them (I will see if they can offer a nearly new at the same price) what other watches in this price range is worth looking at?

I like the design of the Trident, I may even wait and save a bit more, and would like an Automatic as I have never had one before. Would be good to see other options before I purchase anything.

Thanks
