Very nice just ordered mine awaiting delivery :)

Hope you got it sub £200 :)

I went to a watch shop for a Skyhawk Blue Angels only to see it was like a dinner plate on my wrist - came out with black faced Seiko 5

Christmas present from dad. He bought it in 1967... it looks brand new and still works :D

My first proper watch, wonder if it will last another 40+ years?

SARB017? Nice watch man, I wouldn't mind one myself, still have an itch for a 033 at some point. Mainly because I want GS but can't quite afford one at the moment...

So my watch died today at work today, I never got round to buying one last time but I have an Argos over the road from work and I feel naked without a watch now.

What do you think of that? It's the kind of style that I like and it looks nice! Anything like that for the same kind of price but a better watch? Or should I get that one?

Is that the one with the gold body and golden face? (looks like it)

I have one of these, it used to belong to my great grandfather! :)

Though mine has a leather strap. The original gold strap has been missing for decades unfortunately. :(

Nice watch - has a classic look to it- your Dad must be as old as me - I bought mine in 1965 --Had it cleaned and repaired though.

Missed a delivery of my watch today as I'm in Edinburgh  hopefully I'll be able to rearrange it for Tuesday.

Got it rearranged for Thursday but DX doesn't appear to have any tracking information so since I'm back at work I've got to guess when they guy is coming round and hope my dad will be there at the same time!

Hi Feek, it's the Pulsar PX3001X1 and I picked it up from the major high street catalogue shop. Its in the sale at the moment for £39.99

Thanks - Argos part number is 213/5052 and I've got one reserved for pick up tomorrow. It's quite small compared to what I normally wear so if I don't like it, of course I don't have to have it when I go and try it on. May as well spend the Nectar points on something.
Popped over there and had a look this morning. The face is OK but the case and the bracelet are horrible. I thought they felt really cheap and flimsy and the grey colour (doesn't really show in you photograph) is just 'meh'. I decided not to buy it. Shame really, I liked the initial look.

Just thought I would share some pictures of my 1964 9.ct Longines (manually wound) and my 1896 14k Waltham.

Neither are worth huge sums of money, but I love looking at both. My girlfriend gave me the Waltham as a present almost ten years ago, so it is significant to me and I will never sell it. For its simplicity I quite like the movement, with its old American font!

Sorry, it's a poor picture. It's actually just s/s with an oyster-type dial.

That's a lovely looking watch DXP, there's def something about the simple unfussy look of older watches. Do you wear that daily?

Yeah, he's rather 'worldly wise'. Wouldn't have it any other way though :)

Not now - It was on my wrist for 9 years solid when I bought it - but my work didn't do it any good - The wife bought me a Seiko Automatic so this went in drawer for near 40 years - I dug it out and got it fixed so now I wear it on special days - It does feel nice though.

It is a manual wind so needs doing every day if you wear it all time so Seiko 5's are daily wear.

I changed my mind and have ordered a Sekio SKX007K1...Just been searching through this thread for a Seiko super oyster 22mm BRACELET strap but the Wjean seller is no longer on ebay in his shop

Anyone link me to another place to replace the Rubber Strap?

Cheers
