- cost
- VRAM (DCS likes a LOT of VRAM)
- performance in VR (apparently the difference between Nvidia and AMD GPUs is more pronounced in VR

Cost and physical size. Mostly gone the nvidia route too as that's what I know best. Usually buy second hand too!
