What will come of all the hacking ?

So you think that nothing should be done?

You're obviously just trolling, give over.

There's nothing that can be 'done' Lulzsec is not a group of 5-6 people. Lulzsec will be here for a long time just as the 'mafia' have been, because it doesn't really exist as a group. Anyone can go around hacking on behalf of Lulzsec and claim it on behalf of. I know this is totally retarded to say but "Anon is legion" and anon consists of thousands of chan groups, thousands of blackhats and anyone that wants to put themselves under the #Lulzsecs banner.

And a great example is that kid that got arrested in essex, all he got charged with was hosting an "IRC" that a few anon's used.

LulzSec The Lulz Boat
Not sure we claimed to hack the UK census or where that rumour started, but we assume it's because people are stupider than you and I.

People lying on Pastebin!

LulzSec The Lulz Boat
Just saw the pastebin of the UK census hack. That wasn't us - don't believe fake LulzSec releases unless we put out a tweet first.

Ill be on Twitter more often now i think. lol

I didn't use Twitter until the Lulz

Same.

Just watched a sky news interview with some chap who thought they'd caught the mastermind behind lulzsec and referred to their announcement they'd hacked the census. Clearly this man doesn't have Twitter on his phone.

clearly hackers would never lie and unless there group is really small they wont know who has hacked what as it happens

The person arrested may not be anything special but its still a step closer. Given some of the twitter quotes I've read the police need to be concentrating their search on prepubescent loners. Really do come across as a bunch of idiots.

How is finding someone not in lulzsec getting closer? =\

Apparently Ryan Cleary know as "ViraL" is just a DDoS extortionist. he's probably got nothing to do with LulzSec.

He's been doing it for years, and he's not even hidden at all.. people have known his nickname and his real name since 2008.

I have a feeling there will be greater internet restrictions, but on the other hand, our personal information will be a bit safer as companies will beef up their security in response to increasing attempts at data theft.

it will all be used as an excuse to police the internet like america has wanted for awhile now they want an internet they "own" so they can do with it what they like and stop what they dont like at the end of the day its all going to come down to "controlling the little people"

They already do. They're routinely revoking domains associated with piracy and hacking at the minute.

No it won't.

Unless you physically stop everyone from accessing the internet, this will always happen.

Well only if the domain registry is ran by a US company.

america have been eyeing up controlling the internet for awhile now i guess in theory you could have a hiddern more free internet but most goverments would probably demonise it enough that the regular people who dont care would be convinced no one should have access to such a thing
