What would you do with £6,000?

If I didn't need it at all, as in it makes no difference to me. Then I'd probaly go on holiday somewhere and have some awesome times with all my closest friends. Probaly paying for it all seeing as I'm in the position to afford it!

If I don't need it right now but will in the future then I'd probaly pop it in an ISA or if my ISA allowance is already maxed then give it to an IFA to invest or play the stockmarket myself if I knew what I was doing.

I've always wondered if you can pay a professional gambler? say with a 60/40 or 70/30 split in your favour of the profits.

Is having any savings in a bank account or isa at this time 2010 very risky because of the chance of a much bigger bank collapse in the near future due to the struggling economy in the Uk or do you take the chance?

6k in the bank will be fine. Upto a certain amount is protected by the govt. anyway. In addition, the banks are doing just fine. The crisis is over, now its just the aftermath.

I'd go on a mega road trip & see how far me & an old Shogun could get.
Unexpected lump sums should be used for things you wouldn't normally do.

Have a bath in £20 notes (£50 notes probably isn't enoughl)
