What's an emo?

Here's an idea for you: Would there be any emo's without the recently technology available to us by globalisation?

Media (News, music, internet)?

I think that by spreading the idea of emo through this medium, people have become more homoginized more quickly. Anyone else's take on it?

it was only last night i was in the biggest and most POPULAR alternative venue in the whole of england, and i could chat to anyone no one was being a prat no one was fighting everyone was enjoyin them selves and i was surrounded by emos.

Ah but think about this, take the growing rate of chavs against the growing rate of emos, divide by pi and multiply by 3 and what do you get?

Thats right! 2008 the world will see a mass world war between emos and chavs, white tracksuits versus black leather. Long hair vs skin head. Goldie looking chain vs Aiden. Ow yes there will be blood. But who will come out on top? My moneys on a third party candidate. Im betting 50 big ones that the Geeks will rule all.


EMO FACT:
The prefered angle of hair decent for photos(i.e stupid floppy hair over face) is 193 degrees

ill send you it back with "**** off" on it. im not being big headed its how my lifestyle is, im not a rockstar but im out there with the scene.

I have a plan! I shall make the UKEP (UK Emo Party), and the party will be as scene as it can be. In fact, I shall scrub the name of UKEP, and rename it Hawthorne Heights. I shall soon be elected prime minister and can go about taking over the world!

I need a mascott though. Has anyone got a spare cat and a fezz?

No, I just think you're full of rubbish today mate. I'm saying how I, my friends, and a few people on here see things. You're saying I don't know because i'm not 'scene'. So? I still know scene people and your reasoning is absolute tosh.

alternative is another stereotpye. mohinder is alternative, black star is, i am, all the people who are into heavier music, dress metal, emo or whatever, are under alternative.

But no Emo kid will vote. Voting is for norms. And they would have to live their dark razoe infested rooms and enter into the sunlight. OH NOES! :eek:

You are actually, but that's beside the point.

I couldn't care less if you were in a popular club with lots of other emo/rock kids, how does that prove anything? No one suggested that Emo kids were aggro and fight a lot, but what you don't seem to appreciate is that because you surround yourself with these people (or they're drawn to you being a rock superstar and so "out there in the scene") that you might not be able to see them and how the fit in with an outsider's perspective as others perhaps can.

your posting tosh mate, friggin "we hate the world" "trying to fit in" yeh and im not scene never will be so? i just not narrow minded about the subject am i? and i actually think the time you waste complaining over em is pointless? why? these people keep them selves to them selves dont go around saying people are stupid cos of the way they act or dress.....

look at chavs, skallys.... then complain about them, there just walking violence.
