What's the most expensive item you have bought?

If it counts my 1st years car insurance was £2600 :( If it doesnt count then my Tag Heuer watch which was £1600. Had to flog it earlier this year though :(

Edit: Yay i "win" the car insurance top trumps!!! :mad::(:mad: And that was TPFT on a 3 year old group 1 Fiesta...:(:(:(:(

I shopped around for ages, was by far the cheapest. Thats Northern Ireland for ya :( It dropped by £1600 after the first year.

Nope i have a shiny clean license, i was insured on the car before i had passed my test though. Clearly they just really didn't like 17year old males back then

My TV recently cost me £1200, that's probably the most expensive thing I've ever bought that I can remember

I spent £2 grand on a PC upgrade last year but thats lots of little components rather than one thing :)
