I read your email just fine?

BTW, you should reply to that girl, she sounds hot!

Gmail, they have a great spam filter, the new look makes it look cheap, but other than that it is great. Hotmail sucks as far as spam, at least gmail has a spam folder, hotmail crams your inbox with a bunch of ****.

I'm still using AOL for email, with Thunderbird as a client. It works, so I'll stay with it.

I'm still using AOL as my ISP too, for much the same reason. As long as you never need tech support, AOL is fine.

I think I can probably win in the "can't be bothered to change" stakes with this:

I'm still using a BT Voyager 105 ADSL modem. It limits me to 8Mbps (on paper - in practice, I get about 6.5), but that's more than I feel any need for so I don't care about that either. I'll only change when it breaks or I move to a new version of Windows that doesn't support it (I'm still using XP because, you guessed it, it works well enough for me).

I'm using one that not many people will know about. It's inbox.com. When bluebottle decided they wanted to rip everybody off, sorry I mean charge, for mail access I decided i'd like the same functionality but didn't want to pay for it and inbox was the only one that came close.

I mainly like it because of the 'human' email test. Someone sends me a mail it then, automatically, sends them a mail back to prove they're human before allowing the original mail. Of course you can turn this off and customise it but it's pretty good.

Gmail.
Every other account is forwarded to it & then it comes through to my moby/tablet/pc, Genius. :p

I recently had an issue with Gmail. I use pop mail on all my 5 email account and receive them to my pc through Windows Live Mail. However Gmail was witholding the Spam folder, i.e. deeming some of my mail to be spam, not sending it to me and then deleting it 30 days later.

When i looked in the folder by chance I happened to have two very important emails that would have been deleted without my knowledge. It also seems you can't turn off the spam folder, you have to do a little trick so that any mail listed as spam is not allowed in the spam folder.

Other than this though I don't really have a favourite out of my other accounts (hotmail, live, .ac.uk, ntlworld), as long as they pass on ALL my emails to my pc then they all look the same anyway.

I used to use hotmail until they decided to delete all the mail from an account I hadn't used for three months.

Now use gmail purely because they keep everything for ages and the storage is huge.

But as a provider I hate it, I've never got the hang of their star tagging system or any other feature. I like folders and I like putting stuff into folders myself, I've no idea how their random system is supposed to work.

Surely hosted exchange is the best. :)

There is a lot I don't like about gmail with 'sent on behalf of [email protected]' being at the top. (Yes I know I can use Google Apps, but I then need a separate email login for every alias). The user interface is also fairly poor now too (i.e. the reply and back to inbox buttons look identical and the back and forward buttons are the wrong way round...)

You're about 10 years out of date with regard to hotmail. No spam here. Not so surprisingly things get updated over the years.
Gmail was pretty good when first released, now there's nothing between them.
