My old place ran the whole show on whatsapp. You are talking 600 people on shift. Cannot imagine the chaos it caused today

Would be interesting to see how many bgp peering neighbors they have across the pops, surely they would have OOB to critical nodes. Wonder how many people have been called out for it

in fairness we also have icabbi for messaging but whatsapp is 100 times easier and quicker

Same here - company wants an inhouse app used but people are reluctant to install stuff like that. Fortunately there aren't too many who need hand holding so the show goes on.
