When are you going fully electric?

They've had one model available for over 4 years, not sure what they expected to happen with so much more competition.

Also this model costing significantly more than the benchmark (in cash terms and leasing). With less features and arguably less premium feel now. With a transmission hump in the back and a boot that is somehow less practical despite being a hatch.

Then trying to go in a more expensive direction with the Polestar 3 and 4. When it’s cheeper more mass market EV’s that are needed.

Threat of large import tariffs like in US and recently Canada.
We know, we just prefer to discuss like normal people rather than in the cryptic ramblings.

The head of the eu commission doesn’t even make or impose the rules. The tariffs are voted on by the EU parliament made up of MEPs which makes the comment just a bit odd.

Yes just selling at a mild margin then. Nothing close to making hay while the sun shines. EU 38% tarrif and we don’t know if UK will follow suit has NOTHING to do with the prices MG have been selling their products for in the UK for the last few years.

PS. Ms Bloom is simply the author of the mightier Sword book… nothing else.

It’s a lot of cars for not a lot of money. But real world range is likely to be 180miles instead of the quoted 250. Winter range is even lower.
I drove 176 miles with 11% left, average 58mph (brum to Norwich so mainly A roads), in a standard range.
I'd expect more from a long range on a normal day.

Have been looking at the MG4 on the second hand market. Still lots of 2022 (pre face lift I think) with low mileage hanging around the 15-18k mark. I think they have a lot further to fall when you can pick up a new one for just over £20k now. Good value if you don't want to buy new.

At 15 grand it's an awful lot of car really. The efficiency of mine is a bit laughable (which doesn't really impact me if I'm honest) but i'm otherwise very happy with it.

More free electricity from Octopus tomorrow at 13:00 - 14:00.
While we don't really have any load worth shifting I was all set to do my bit and use it as an opportunity to go gas free for a day and top off the hot water with the emersion heater... then realised Octopus haven't logged any data from our smart meter since Wednesday

This got me thinking about EV charging... If this happens and you are on something like Intelligent Go does it simply not charge? Likewise if you are on a fixed duel rate tariff do you just end up paying at the higher rate?
