When are you going fully electric?

Has there been a particular development or something? I know they were quick out the traps with the iD.3 and the Cupra Born but they never seemed to get much of a good response for their efficiency.
I genuinely think the noise is from people watching too much YouTube than those who have them.

This makes zero sense. Why should anything with a ICE pay less (in this case massively less) than a zero pollution EV? This is yet another reason that will put people off buying EV's, it's ridiculous!!

Because they aren't trying to incentivise a shift to EVs anymore. They are trying increase revenue. Perhaps more accurately shifting the market to EVs has lower priority.

It's not rocket science if there are no real disincentives to buying ICE and fewer incentives to buying EVs, it will effect the market.

New wet motor AP550 with 282-340 hp. MEB+ batteries and updated software.

The born is pretty decent I find with the AP310 dry motor. Can do 5.5-6m/kwh in summer on my commute. Lifetime 3.6 but that’s a lot of motorway.

It’s very few ICE that pay such low amounts. Anything decent is paying more. Just don’t mention the VED on a band M

Tax rarely makes sense and is more about pushing certain demographics as much as they dare.

Case in point, your average EV driver is going to be financially better off than your average £20 VED ICE driver. Therefore the push back is less and the justification greater.

My dad is a prime example of the problem. His Avensis is £20 tax. He would be tempted to buy a new Corolla but the extra tax, among other things, puts him off.

Tavascan is one of my favorite looking EV's along with the EV6, doesnt look boring inside or out. Now that VAG has sorted the tech/motors/efficiency its got to be a great shout.
While not quite as exciting, I've just signed up to my updated company car scheme and the options for my banding include the ID4 GTX Edition, which seems pretty well kitted out performance and toys wise vs the other options (Q4 S line 45 or i4 35 M sport), we need something with a decent boot too for the dog so that discounted the i4 straight away regardless.

The motor upgrades earlier this year alongside the recent trim updates on the ID4 lineup make it a bit of a no brainer, comes with a significant amount more kit than the Audi, with dual motors and at a slightly lower P11D price. Will make the switch from a well kitted out G20 3 series painless I hope.

Not been gien a delivery date yet, imagine it'll be Easter time at the earliest probably

I went from a 330e to the ID7, no major complaints from an interior fit and finish POV, software is spot on, DCC makes a difference to the handling. My only issues are the over sensitive autobraking when parking, the crap cameras and the damn cheap ass wipers they have fitted to the cars.

I believe that thew VW group have a deal with Valeo for wipers. First thing I do with any new VW group car is change to Bosch Aerotwin wipers - massive difference.

Great car, will be you getting a dedicated charger? Is that a facelift one?

Or telling everyone that 3 pin is fine like a particularly poster here likes to when from what I’ve seen he could easily run a decent wire.

Switched to Intelligent Octopus Go with the Zappi. Couldn’t have been easier, brilliant stuff.

The effort involved in moving over to an EV has been trivial at best, but at the same time, pretty cool.

Thanks!

It's a 23 plate "nearly new" (lease.handback) and yes have a 7.5kWh fitted and ready to go. Had a BP Charge master fitted before that for my Tesla and the wife's Merc Hybrid she had at the time

e-tron gt is rather a good looker - what colour ?
... seemed to have been forgotten about in the ev's ugly discourse in the Jag advert thread, and I guess PCP of that was too dear in dlockers SS search to replace his Meredes.

It's crazy expensive and too wide for me. It is £2748/mo lol.

Just noticed the Elroq has appeared - £781 gross with leather and 360 miles. Expensive!

A single years depreciation on a new EV will cost more than many of the low mileage 0-£35 tax ICE car cost to buy. For cheap motoring you're still better off with those.
