It’s end of life, all new model due to launch next year.
Its changing to a compact SUV and moving over to the new platform Nissan and Renault use so will have CCS charging and a proper battery thermal management system.
The current model is the same as what they have been selling for years, still has Chademo charging and sub par drivetrain/battery for 2024, hence the price.
Edit: did you say £13.5k? It’s not the best car in the world but £13.5k for a brand new car, that’s a good price, even with the leafs shortcomings. They are very reliable by all accounts.
Nissan Leaf was my first choice at one point but I was communicating with a Leaf employee on Redditt.
He said the battery size is abysmal, all of the car is basically old technology and when it comes to charging it it's like the old VHS/Betamax wars with the Leaf's Chadermo system being Betamax so stay away.
He also said there will be a new platform next year and that's when the MG4 Trophy went back to the top and I paid for it yesterday.
