When are you going fully electric?

I have a MY20 I-Pace so a little older. Pre-Facelift, owned for a year. Not a single issue but be warned if you do go into it. Jaguar warranties have increased in cost if you want to put one on. I paid £780 for this year and the renewal is £1500. Unfortunately it’s the only warranty to have. Insurance the same story for me, paid £900 this year, renewal is double (I get circumstances alter this) and the 6 year service is steep in cost if you plan on keeping one that long.
You're paying 800 quid for a years warranty??????

I think gearbox orientation is far from the most interesting element of the new 'Audi MMA' (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform :p

go on then what is ? 800v 10min recharge many will soon have that , aero like existing class leading CLA teardrop impressive ..
the lights units forming mercedes emblem that's pretty clever/serendipitous (Audi, one of the few, who could do the same)

It’s like you are the opposite of PR/marketing. Like the sponge that just sucks it all up, a light squeeze and it comes foaming out.

Merc having a twin speed gear in that is somewhat of a surprise. Maybe it’s allowed to downsize the motor.

Just had to laugh at the latest Carwow drive until they die range test video, setting up the video they opted not to use hated seats as they draw too much power, but kept the climate at 20c. The lack of knowledge from these people is immeasurable, 30-70w for the whole trip would have taken about 1-2 miles of range off and who doesn't use heated seats if you have them, but then uses climate? I am both  and .

Once you've watched a couple of those video's, you've watched them all.

Let me guess, they all went roughly the same % of their WLTP rated range (somewhere between 70% and 85% based on the time of year) and they stopped at all the services on the way which don't have any EV chargers, went out of their way to point this out while skipping all those that do?

You forgot to add that they all managed to limp to a charger... except Mat Watson who somehow found himself in a housing estate as the car stops then knocks on an old ladies door asking for an extension lead.

You are speaking as if there a range of “orientations” on an EV. There isn’t!

Did you mean to write Audi?
Just surprised you went straight to gearboxes rather than mocking the fact jpaul has muddled architecture from two different manufacturers

I dunno it’s a good indication of range of fresh cars on the same day. Just wish they would miles based on kWh added back after as like mpg gauges I don’t trust all Onboards

I've got heated seats and I don't use them. :P heated steering wheel on the other hand goes on nearly all the time when it's cold. :D

I rarely use heated seats. Very nice when you’ve got a back ache though.

Heated steering wheel comes on automatically below a certain temperature (yet to discover) in the Tavvy, which is awesome.

It will NOT be a north south installed gearbox in an EV either
cla anyway is also having ICE/hybrid ... so if they left a transmission tunnel in there wouldn't be a surprise ? but maybe ICE is only fwd.

if the ensemble of mma/ppe/zf have ev gearboxes would suggest there is something in it ? for higher speed torque/overtaking.
(allowing more efficient high rpm with lower gear for start-off .... if the benefit is that way round)

yes freudian slip with Audi (bmw .. she's gone last month rip)
