When are you going fully electric?

Nope - looked at a few videos on tesla OBD nothing on harvesting detailed charging history from previous years/owners Scan My Tesla
like you can get if you keep ongoing live data capture by teslamate app say V need this from feek
Not to be rube but rather than linking to YouTube videos, can you please look at the documentation from the app developer as your source:

Click "signal details"
See line 59 and 60 for total AC and DC charge in kWH respectively*

*The caveat is that it didn't start counting to a certain software version so its inaccurate on older cars (not totally useless though) but every Model 3/Y in the UK will be fine.

Can we put this one to bed now please?

That is a slight concern. I thought it was a BMW engine though.

engine will be fine but the suspension and anything electronic will be likely to break. But yeah I like hybrids. You still get the instant acceleration from the EV motor so best of both worlds for me.

Most of my miles Mon to Fri are on Ev and in the 10000 miles I have done I have averaged the equivalent of 50 mpg fuel wise. And I dont drive it sensibly.

When the price comes down to budget petrol version, I have a plug in Ampera which is the cheapest I can find for our short trips to stations and supermarkets. There are budget friendly EV but lack the range of the more expensive versions

Still a bit concerned about dropping £800 a month on a car in current economic conditions though.

Insurance is putting me off now, They want £1900 a year and I'm over 40 with 15+ years no claims bonus and no claims in the last 5 years!

Polestar 2 (Group 42) is only £500 a year.

I mean you could go budget for a year or two. Our previous car was a £150 a month 2 year lease on an Astra because we were not sure on a few things at the time(was actually quite a nice little car). However, we only do 8k miles between us. :)

I quite like it.

It's lush inside as well. I sat in one at a dealership

That is lovely

Interested in why the shift to Hybrid after having full EV, is it just because you like the car and there is no EV?

Some faffy experiences charging when doing long (250+ mile) trips recently.

Also need more space.

A model Y would actually suit me better probably, but I really dislike Elon Musks attitude recently and I hate that it doesn't have a digital driver display. Plus it's poorly made and uncomfortable.

Sort of tempted to go for a Range Rover Sport P440E hybrid instead of full EV next time.

70 miles of electric only range (probably closer to 50) puts it in 5% BIK bracket.

I would miss the instant power though.

We have a number of them at work. Avoid like the plague! Lots of reliability issues. Exceptionally poor handling due to a very heavy back end. They also chew through tyres.

Dimensionally, the bZ3 comes up predictably close to its Tesla rival, but is fractionally larger in every metric. It measures 186-in (4,725 mm) from bumper to bumper, stands 58-in (1,475 mm) tall and rides on a 113.4-in (2,880 mm) wheelbase. And while the 0.218 Cd factor doesn’t set any world records, it’s still impressively slippery, and surely contributes to that 373-mile range capability. The bZ4X SUV is far less slippery, at Cd 0.29.
spartan interior

Toyotas going to need BYD battery factory in europe and some appropriate manufacturing capability to make them economic for sale in Europe.

Having a full Ev and a large PHEV at the moment, I would never go from an EV to a PHEV. Only reason we have the PHEV is that we need 7 seats and there are/were no 7 seat evs available after Tesla pulled the X from UK. I am waiting for the Kia EV9 to come out - large, 7 seats and Kia's electric architecture. Did think about new RR EV but then learnt that it won't be out until at least 2024 - what's the point JLR?
