When are you going fully electric?

Cameras, fine, but why have door mirrors then? Might as well have been cameras all round. Perhaps those leaked pics are more of a concept and it will actually have a rear window, as I think not having one might be a step too far for some people.
It‘s the actual car - the official Polestar 4 website is up now

The spec

- 544bhp
- 0 to 62 in 3.8 seconds
- 372 mile range (WLTP, in single motor version)
- Vehicle to load
- 200kW charging speeds
- 15.4 inch landscape display
- 0.26 drag coefficient
- From £55k, so likely £65k-70k for the top spec version

I like that too, I was in the Polestar shop the other day just having a poke around a P2 again and I still like that car, just thought the rear looked a bit dated and in need of a refresh, this does the job well.

If it ends up cheaper than an optioned up 2 as suggested I might pick one up.

That's a good looking car to be fair. Are Geely developing their own 800V platform? Would be nice if these £50k+ cars could take proper advantage of ultra rapids.

I actually want one. Not a bad price too.

Bigger than I thought, I thought the 4 was supposed to be the cheaper, small one, it's bigger than the 2.
yes - seems it's a behemoth
length is 4,839 mm, width is 2,139 mm and height is 1,544 mm
The Polestar 2 measures 4,600mm in length, is 1,950mm wide and stands 1,480mm tall
but then, id7 is too big too. 4,970mm long, 1859mm wide and 1,529mm tall

just give me something width of a 3 series estate which will work nimbly on local country roads, with space to steer around potholes.
BMW 3 Series Touring 4,709mm 1,827mm 1,440mm
Stellantis/astra/308 ev estate size appeals most.

Suspect some classic 'use the with door mirrors vs the without door mirrors comparison' to make the point you would like to make there

edit: 3 series with door mirrors - 2,068mm

That P4 width includes the wing mirrors

OK - thanks I stand corrected P4 is a bit 4" wider, but others are much the same -
I frequently use & parallel park in some cambridge double parked streets where although it's a 2-way road the gap you drive down only has space for one car with maybe a foot on both sides,
so you have to wait at passing places to let other cars through, turning circle is important too.

Hi all, new to the forum here. I’ve just ordered an iX 40 M Sport in sophisto grey metallic with oyster interior. Managed to get a fantastic deal through BMW’s current business contract hire deals they’re running at the moment. Paying £507+vat per month a 6+23, 8000 miles a year and BMW are also offering a free pod point charger! No idea how or why they’re throwing so much discount on iXs but after a test drive I fell in love. They also offered £750 charging credit as an alternative but I needed a new charger so went for that option. Seems it’s a business only deal but very chuffed and can’t wait for it to arrive in July / August. Happy to share my dealer contact if anyone is interested :)
I ordered an iX about 4 weeks ago on a similar cheap deal. Looking again now it’s dropped by another £40pm, making it cheaper than most mid-range EV’s : Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq5, Polestar 2, Tesla Y & 3, Nissan Aria, VW ID5 …

This is the spec I went for : https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/bmw-and-m-power-owners.18392172/post-36338125

He’s not an EV expert. He just takes all cars apart for a living and does some consultancy for many OEMs.

Solid state are not at commercial scale yet. So anyone can make the statement about thae game changer they might be when they arrive. Just like nuclear fusion. However energy density doesn’t really solve charging time.
