When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

I think that's what we now know. Even if you are generous and add up all the bay sales this year I bet it would not equate to the volume of cards people think were soaked up in the UK market.

People eventually got cards that wanted them, and being able to sell their old units for a high price equated to the upgrade costing way less. Miners buying up the older GPUs actually done them a favour.
Most of the mining cards never left the Far East which was why at the height of the boom retailers like OCUK were only getting a handful of cards in per week and some weeks none at all.

The mining market in the UK is small fry by comparison and the cards simply were not available because they weren't arriving at retail in any great quantities. UK Miners no doubt bought some of those retail cards but the big fish in Asia were buying direct and with the cheaper power in Asia mining will still be profitable till ETH goes POS or the price drops even further so don't expect those cards on the bay just yet.

In US, prices keep rolling down. It seems like Nvidia planning to release 4090/4080 as scheduled. That's why they focus on rebates for only 4080/4090 series. If those "high end" discounts won't work, I only expect a paper launch.

Is there anywhere with stock cheaper than OcUK on the Devil, we seem to be already £30 cheaper than most competitors and it is selling OK at present.

OcUK is about the same price as another competitor I've seen so far.

Are we likely to see the 3080Ti drop below 1k at any point?

I know that card is one of the worst in terms of price to performance - it just always seems to be the one with plenty of stock!

We did have a couple of SKU's at £999 last week but they sold out within a few hours, I feel we will see more 3080Ti at the £899-999 price range in coming weeks, especially with 3090 at £1199 and the 3080 12G under £800 it makes sense for more 3080Ti to appear sub 1k to fit into the pricing lineup more sensibly.

Ordered an MSI GeForce RTX 3060ti 8GB VENTUS from a different online retailer @ £445.. (OcUK dont have this model and their Gaming X version is still £560). Cant be bothered to wait anymore and as i wouldnt go high end with the 4000 series, this will have to do me for around 12 months or so until the 4060 comes out next year. People keep saying we wont see 4060 cards until 12 months after the initial 4000 series releases anyway.

I paid £250 for my 1660 Super Gaming X almost 3 years ago and the 3060ti is around double the performance going by Guru3D Shoot Out graphs and hopefully i might get back up to £200 for the 1660 Super.

I have triple 1080p monitors so the 3060ti should be good for a few years. I dont game much (DayZ now and again) but i need the OpenGL uplift as i Dj in Second Life which is OpenGL.. and on Twitch.

Lets hope i made a decent decision.

I bought an FE for £369 and I've been very pleased with it so far. Plenty good enough for 1440p until the dust settles. In fact it's a bit annoying as I don't feel the need to rush to upgrade it

Yea i was keeping my eye on the Nvidia shop but they were always out of stock when i looked, i guess this may last me even longer if i dont get into any heavy gaming for a while. Good to hear its a nice card to have at 1440p too :)

Yes it was just luck seeing they were in stock. It should last you and if you need to there is always DLSS for the heavy stuff. I'm just playing Star Citizen which seems to be heaviest on the CPU at the moment.
