One for all reviewers to boycott reviewing any new GPU release. What would really force AMD and particularly Nvidia to start doing sensible pricing for gpu's? I think we all know that both companies have now set a president for making their gpu's more expensive with each new revision, but would it take a massive slump in gpu's sales (overall) to change pricing, slump in stock markets or are we stuck with continual price increases?
Both of them not having enough financial reserves to pay their bills. All the while they have money in the bank they can afford not to sell what they're making and have them sitting in warehouses until someone is willing to buy them, if you get to a stage where you need to sell what you're making to make more then you have no choice but to sell things as close to cost as possible. What would really force AMD and particularly Nvidia to start doing sensible pricing for gpu's? maybe in 2 years time when all thse companies are trying to figure out what money they made after dumping hundreds of thousands into nvidia products and the ai market falling on its arse will we see decent prices and performance gainsBefore Ampere released I remember people saying Nvidia was " not a charity" and referencing Turing as an example of the "new normal".
Clearly, Turing didn't work out as well as Nvidia tried to pretend, and we got stronger performance at a much lower price point. (Before mining wreked it, at least)
AI is here to stay, it might contract a little as there will be some consolidation but the demand is actually very strong.maybe in 2 years time when all thse companies are trying to figure out what money they made after dumping hundreds of thousands into nvidia products and the ai market falling on its arse will we see decent prices and performance gains

Chatgpt has a huge amount of use cases in business and the bing version when used correctly is amazing.
I get the sarcasm but I work as a consultant and boy, right now a ton of companies are either working or interested on adapting ChatGPT derivatives to their workflows.!remindme 2 years
there will be disruption .. and nvidia will fall .. as may intel and amd .. when you think your the big boy more can go wrong as your not seeing straightAI is here to stay, it might contract a little as there will be some consolidation but the demand is actually very strong.

Gpus will soon be overtaken as the preferred choice for AI just like they were for mining bitcoin.AI is here to stay, it might contract a little as there will be some consolidation but the demand is actually very strong.

The silicon might bet a little more specialized but there are lots of visual workloads where something pretty close to a GPU is used. Besides, no matter what it is, it's competing for the same wafers.Gpus will soon be overtaken as the preferred choice for AI just like they were for mining bitcoin.
The strength of gpus is that they are the jack of all traits so it’s easy to jump on something new but once dedicated solutions arrive they won’t be able to keep pace.

Say goodbye to a decent share of customer care jobs and low level copywriting, with the right prompts and source material it's good enough to replace humans in a fair number of jobs.
7900 XTX spotted at 720 quid here in Aus. UK Price equivalent about 785. Yes, XTX. Ripoff britain really is in effect....
Tech Yes City have opinion that prices will start dropping in next couple of months......
By the time this happens it’ll be 2025 and the next gen will be released.I work as a software product and engineering manager at a large software house. This is exactly what we're doing.
That's terrible, were getting ripped off so badly here, worse than anywhere else. Aus isn't known as a cheap place to live either!
I really hope so...
It's not a matter of generations, we're competing for wafer allocation with higher priced datacenter products and Apple. This means either lagging nodes or higher prices sadly...By the time this happens it’ll be 2025 and the next gen will be released.
