Not a surprise that a new £600 gpu beats a 2.5 year old console, just a shame it couldn’t beat the £650 2.5 year old gpu.A 4070 completely outclasses the ps5 and you can get it for the same price.

Don't forget to take into account the price differences of games, PC is often cheaper.
i want to upgrade my 3070fe, but theres nothing really out there with sensible price tag, 4080 is daft money and with amd theres a power penalty to pay as well. guess im waiting to see what future holds
Don't think I've paid full price for any game for years tbh. This isn't straight forward.
I bought God Of War Ragnorak using CEX vouchers from trading games in.
I then traded God Of War in, I lost a total of like £12 in vouchers.
Console gaming can be cheap if you play like that.
I think if you can pick up a 6950xt for £500 or a 7900xt for £600 then they’re superb cards to go for 2K high refresh gaming for the price.Don't think I've paid full price for any game for years tbh.
Either second hand or, if new, way after release using vouchers most of the time.
Edit: If prices are right then the a digital console (which I imagine where the slim pricing may be although could be more) puts it more in line with the 16Gb 4060Ti which I certainly ain't getting enthused about.
If the 6950XT gets anywhere near £500 that'll be a great buy!!!I think if you can pick up a 6950xt for £500
i had nose at the 6950xt a little while ago, but power consumption was insane, seen figures around the 500w mark even stock was a 50% more than the 3070 with the nitro. so quickly discountedSame, the only one I would consider is a 7900xt.
But then I look at the price, and if I'm honest, I think using the word tempted is even too strong, I have half thought about it but as soon as I try to see if I could get even remotely comfortable spending that much I'm like, no.
That’s the problem with this generation with cards under 1k, you can’t get an upgrade at the same price you paid last gen as pound for pound ada is no faster than ampere and RDNA3 is only slightly better than RDNA2.Same, the only one I would consider is a 7900xt.

Usually happens when the stock gets a bit low or the support for the lowering the prices ends.I've been tracking the price of the Sapphire Pulse 7900 XT and its went up by £40 on OcUK the past few days. So someone must be buying them?
That’s without state taxes though which are around 4-7% depending on the state.says it all, we being ripped off in uk,

Considering its supposed to one of the better price performance cards this gen then I'd say thats quite poor.Is that good, bad, average?
indeed, but based even £ to $, we getting shafted, either by retailers or the middlemenThat’s without state taxes though which are around 4-7% depending on the state.
Is there no appetite for gpus anymore as everyone (pascal owners) upgraded during ampere?Considering its supposed to one of the better price performance cards this gen then I'd say thats quite poor.
Remove 20% for VAT from the UK price and you have a valid comparison price between them. That’s without state taxes though which are around 4-7% depending on the state.
I'm waiting for Jensen to tell me its safe to upgrade again. Is there no appetite for gpus anymore as everyone (pascal owners) upgraded during ampere?
