When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

? Prices are already down mate, massively. Especially 2nd hard market.
they down but still not at the proper retail prices. hopefully soon with bitcoin in freefall.

just checked on ocuk. the cheapest 3080 for eg is still over £100 more retail than launch.

i needed a gpu for my son got him a 1060 to tie him over 2 months ago, but managed to snag a 2070 super on MM yesterday for a decent 220, so they have fallen quite a bit

It'll need to be quite an increase in performance to justify a higher price, especially if the second hand market starts coming alive. I think it'll be about an extra £50 across the board for each level.

Tempted to bookmark my own response here to get ready for stick when I'm wrong!

Last time the 2080Ti itchy fingers may have got burned. As the 3070 ended up on par with this, it would be a sad state of affairs if after all this hype a 4070 ends up being same as the 3090.

Sad state of affairs maybe, but it's not like a 3090 is light years ahead of a 3080. Will a 4070 be at the level of a 3090ti? Don't see it exceeding by much, and the power requirements sound like a lot of people will need a new psu as well. That means you'll need to add another.. £200 odd for a new one?

Suddenly, an upgrade to a 4xxx series is not such good value. May be better just getting a 3090ti second hand.

If I have 3080 upwards I would just skip to the 5XXX series.

Precisely that Bill. Hopefully will be better than the normal gen improvements but I fear some people may have too much hopium and still succumb to Jensen's mesmeric sales powers!

There's a guy I keep asking for the serial number to check on the evga warranty checker and low and behold it's gone.
Ah the memories, reminds of the X800XT's that used to sell on eBay back in the day reported tons back then, nothing much has changed I see. At least then they had decent f/b due to them being hijacked accounts with passwords phished via email, I guess security has gotten better there at least.

Pretty much like Russian roulette with anything high value and popular.

The catalyst for massive price drops is there (crypto crash, stock gathering dust, etc etc) but it looks like the powers that be are still resisitng it for as long as possible.

The deciding factor is people not having as much money in their pockets, so no matter how long the sellers hold out the buyers just won't be able to afford it. I have a budget and if I can't buy within that I won't bother. Unless prices come down I can see more console gamers and PC gaming returning to the expensive niche it used to be.
