When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

Nice to see some people picking up some nice bargins, esp the 3070 for £389 and someone got a 2070s for £220.

Soon theres going to be a lot of miners "changing jobs" / "moving house" so need to sell up. ;)

if my 2070s ever turns up, attempted delivery, even though was home all day and postie has to walk past my window, no one turned up,lol bloody royal mail

all my parcels go in safe place, but because its rmsd they always knock. i had a feeling it wasnt going to be delivered today as they always come by 11 max. plus tracking wasnt saying out for delivery as normally, so they have pulled a fast one and said they tried to deliver when they didnt, i even had front door ajar for them

thats the thing as an ex miner as well, i know a card can be treated well, my vega 64 was never stressed, heat was never an issue which for a vega is remarkable, was low volts etc, so miners cards can be ok, most will run well within any limits, so it wouldnt put me off, i sold my vega and the buyer knew y, i was cashing in on the vega's value as at the time energy prices were rising and less and less profit.
he got a good card :)

After seeing the guy that shared his toothpaste budget buy rescue on here, I think most mining cards would be a safe bet considering the amount of 470/80's still going after mining for like six years..

I think a lot may not have a choice, cheap used card or no card at all. Wait for the cold northern hemisphere winter and the high energy bills. £700-1000 on a GPU won't seem such an enticing proposition.

Prices are rock bottom (msrp now) Overclockers have a wide range at msrp or close to. If you need a gpu then you can get one.

For some people this was worthy of the wait as they had principles and willpower not to overpay. Now OC is showing thanks for the custom with almost msrp prices and some sub msrp eg 6700xt etc.

MSRP is the price cards start at, after 2 years and near EOL they go below MSRP. Lots of stock shows no-one wants to pay launch price for soon to be superceded tech. Availability is no longer the issue it's now pricing. The climate has changed ;)

Some cards on OC that were in stock have now gone, while others appear to have 10+ stock still. It seems to me that it's the £350+ cards that are staying in stock and being discounted more and more, ~3060ti and 6700xt.
Lots of stock of 1660s which is silly priced however.

theres no real value in the new market atm, your paying msrp for 2yr gpu's, bar the odd exception, some are still more than their so called msrp, new releases on way in next few months, theres little point buying new atm imo

Been given £1000 bonus by my employer so got cash to splash but now choosing what & when to buy seems more difficult as when prices too high it was easier to decide not to. Tempted by new Asus - AMD Radeon RX 6900 xt on FB for £780 as guy has 8 for sale all new in wrapping! I know many will say wait 4000 series etc but I am happy being one gen behind if can save enough cash.

Well no-one knows for sure, it may be a good buy or you might pay a lot less in 2 months time. If you intend to keep it for years it won't matter so much. How much performance will £780 get in the new gen? You take a chance either way, choose the one you're most happy with if it doesn't go your way. i.e. would you rather overpay or not have a GPU worst case.

Seen a 3090ti cheap that will do me for a while as I can see there will be stock problems with 4000.
This year there won’t be any severe stock problems like last year due to there being no mining demand.

If you want a FE you may have to be patient and sign up to alerts otherwise aibs should be available in plentiful supply.

With cost of living I don’t think the average person will be dumping £800 on a gpu.

Personally wouldn’t spend nearly £800 on 2nd hand gpus (even if they’ve still got wrapping on them- you don’t know if you can register the card for warranty as the Social media guy bought it first) You can get a brand new 6900XT for little over £800 at etailers.

Also I wouldn’t buy now-it’s 2yrs outdated tech with poor RT perf, I would wait till RX7000. You need to be more patient and make your money go further.

Oh dear. Mining `demand` was never the problem it was made out to be. Scalper tubers and discord channels are all salavating over the profits to be made again this year.
