Genuine question, all I see all over the news and social media is how evil and incompetent our gevernment are and based on the info I have, I am inclined to agree.

That said, a government exists to serve the people, right? So can anyone name some things that the gov has done to benefit us?

HS2 was meant to be a big one but obvs they filled all the right pockets so scrapped it, what else?

All the time in the late 1800s up until the 1960s.
Recently, maybe new labours commitment to the NHS even tho you can argue the money wasn't spent as well as it should, without it the NHS would probably already be gone.

National minimum wage laws ?, again I'm sure there will be those who claim actually people would be better off if 10 years olds were being paid 50p an hour.

Governments have to make the hard decisions - in the real world lazily following the latest noisy virtue signalling on social media just won’t cut it.

Regardless of who is in power it’s become abundantly clear that it’s the public services that are holding the country back and no amount of prime ministers or elections will change that.

Covid Response? not trolling honest.

Nothing since Thatcher decided to screw over everyone and Labour have never had the balls to revert the damage even with Blair and Brown which was still lets fund London and screw everyone else.

First point of call, all sold existing council stock housing used as rental accommodation to be brought back under council control, with the current owner(s) getting paid what it was originally sold for back in the day.

People in the middle ground like me have been ******** constantly with nothing ever given back no improvements only cut backs and sticky plasters.

Country is ******
