As I said ‘the hard decisions’."why are we killing the economy to save people who are going to die soon anyway"?

UK tax burden at highest ever.the occasional tax cut, and pretty much nothing else.
this is why you should vote tory, labour won't be cutting any taxes so it'll be just pure nothing done.
Furlough scheme?
The point is all of those things were put in place by long dead politicians.Every time you use healthcare. Every time you child goes to (a non-independent) school. Every time you drive on a road. Countless things. Brainless question.
Waiting lists at 8 million, schools built with dodgy concrete, and roads filled with pot holes. A grand job after 13 years in power.Every time you use healthcare. Every time you child goes to (a non-independent) school. Every time you drive on a road. Countless things. Brainless question.

So you want even higher taxes?Waiting lists at 8 million, schools built with dodgy concrete, and roads filled with pot holes. A grand job after 13 years in power.
NHS waiting lists at record levels. Unable to get my child into a local school. Damage to my car due to potholes. Next?Every time you use healthcare. Every time you child goes to (a non-independent) school. Every time you drive on a road. Countless things. Brainless question.
OK, energy price guarantee. What's the comeback on that one? Disclaimer, I don't even like this conservative govt.NHS waiting lists at record levels. Unable to get my child into a local school. Damage to my car due to potholes. Next?
I'll agree with this one - however, the mutation of the energy regulator from a consumer protection to a producer protection organisation definitely offsets this IMHOOK, energy price guarantee. What's the comeback on that one? Disclaimer, I don't even like this conservative govt.
Lack of investment in traditional energy such as more nuclear station and more gas storage to overcome price fluctuations. If they had done that then energy prices would not be so high in the first place and wouldn't have needed a cap.OK, energy price guarantee. What's the comeback on that one? Think I'll back out of this old man yells at cloud thread...Lack of investment in traditional energy such as more nuclear station and more gas storage to overcome price fluctuations. If they had done that then energy prices would not be so high in the first place and wouldn't have needed a cap.
The cap was a sticking plaster to hide the lack of planning and investment in previous years. But it was sold as the government being nice to the people. It was just an attempt to hide their incompetence.
