When was the last time the gov did something in the interest of the people?

Nonsense, the Victorians were actually forward thinking.... schools, industry, banking, public parks, greenspaces, public buildings. Yes it was still screw the poor but they also built for the middle.
It wasn't even just screw the poor the Elan aqueduct always amazed me as a child, we don't have enough clean water in the middle of the country, no problem we'll just build an 80-mile aqueduct like we think we are the Romans or something, just for public health while HS2 goes over budget and scraped.

I think some politicians do get into politics for the right reasons. Not all, but some certainly do.

Unfortunately, to win power, you need to brown-nose a lot of rich donors and not upset even richer newspaper owners.

How is that worse? Unions are democratic organisations made up of working people.

I’d rather they held sway than a handful of foreign-based billionaires like Murdoch.

Lol don't be so naive - what's best for the employee is not the same as what is best for the publicly funded service they provide.

People can't whinge about high taxes whilst supporting political parties who owe their funding to organisations that are designed to get maximum wages for the least amount of work.

'Foreign billionaires' have a lot less impact on this country than the unions.

Rupert Murdoch has backed the winning prime minister in the last, what, 10 elections?

The unions would love to have a king-maker role like that but can barely influence the leader of the Labour Party these days.

Apart from a few exceptional things (furlough although I didn't use it, energy price guarantee) not much.
They just keep things ticking along. But getting worse and worse over time. So really. Not much to show.

Oh brexit. I'm seeing the benefits of that now it's oven baked done.

My disgust level is falling and apathy is going up every month.

On the neutral side.. That's the tories. They are being tories. Funneling resource to their mates, profits and benefits for the rich at the expense of the poor.

That's what tories do... Labour have to step up and be an opposition.. But they aren't different enough.
So really, although I hate the tories and what they stand for.. They are being thier natural species.

Correlation doesn't equal causation - the UK is ultimately a centre right country and the Tories have had no real competition since Blair..

If Labour get in do you think the Unions would give Starmer a free ride..

Isn't the whole Tories being reverse Robin Hood a bit of a cliche..

Which group of people are given the largest proportion of tax money..?

Or worse, submit to your union paymasters every whim…

Lol lol lol would sooner have this than a bunch of privileged Inbred tossers. Any day of the week. So unless your a inbred ****** voting Tory is a noob mistake.....

Then you are obviously supportive of an even higher tax burden and worse public services..

Luckily for you can we can assume from your posting style that at least you are not burdened by student debt lol..

Every time you use healthcare. Every time you child goes to (a non-independent) school. Every time you drive on a road. Countless things. Brainless question.

"Brainless question" says man lacking basic reading comprehension.

As for your energy caps, we should never have been in that position in the first place, so it doesn't count. Sticking plasters over self-created problems is hardly serving the people is it?

List of bills in the 2022-23 session, take your pick.

This makes for some interesting reading, will have a gander later, cheers!

Here is the thing, I really couldn't give a **** if service actually improves, facilities get improved, Schools get fixed instead of my current highest levels of tax this country has ever seen been taken out of the system into some Tory donors off shore account.

So what now ? That's rights you have nothing left, 13 years of decimated, uncontrolled, corrupt purchasing of a Tory government.

Oh and I probably earn more than you, not bad for a thick lad from a mining town wrecked by Tory scum bags of course but thats another true story.......

Keep on trying to defend a bunch of scum bags though your really helping yourself :)

Go on then, tell us how much you earn. That's the only thing that'll decide who's right and who's wrong.
