I do it sometimes, night times when ive got lots to think about, a friend of mine died a few years back, I still think about her through prayer :) Im 17 and deffinatley not ashamed of doing it...

I never even used to do that. At the words "Now bow your heads" I just sat there. Didn't make a fuss, didn't say anything, just used to look blankly ahead or at the teachers who stood at the side of the hall

Snap to be honest, I used to hate being made to do that. I personally think its wrong that its forced on you at school.

Why, when something bad happens but they survive/are found do people always assume it's something to do with God? Same thing happened to my mate, his sister did a runner and they found her. The reason? God. Nowt to do with the checking of switch card activity and finding where she was staying.......

Somehow the person involved avoided serious brain damage by, I was told by the specialist, about 1mm.

Doesn't hurt to be thankful to someone, does it?

every time i get in the car when swmbo is driving,

scary woman 2 ton of audi and too much power and a woman at THAT time of the motnh is never a safe option

I haven't for a while, I mostly do at church.

God gives people strenght and courage, some believe to God and accept that, others think it's just them. God didn't check her switch card, but if someone believes that He helped, thank God.

Its an interesting subject this. I dont think I have prayed in years, probably like most, since school. This would have been about 12 years ago.

I think as a physicist I am scepticle about such issues (and dont lay into my about some famous physicists believing in God / religion of choice etc) so i would rather see evidence or have something to measure / test. Only then will i really believe in something.

Please dont let this turn into a debate about "is it really there" or some philosophical pants, as we had that a while ago. :D

To be honest I didnt expect as many people to say so recently. I must admit I feel a complete hypocrite and say I don't believe in the convention of the bible or goto Church but from time to time I do pray to my old Gran when times are down. Maybe its like a placebo or something.

Its good to have some faith in your life even if its only once a year or so I guess

Been that long I can't remember. 'm not religious at all, neither is my better half.

I used to go to Sunday school, was in the B.B and the Cubs, used to do the walking day stuff. That was 20 odd years ago. Since then I've become a Dad. Both me and and my partner decided that it would be better if we didn't Christean him, if he wants to go church when he's older that will be up to him, not forced by his unreligious parents.

I was brought up Catholic, went to a Catholic school etc.
I gave it up from about age 16 when I realised that chanting along with an old man in a dress every week wasn't going to make me a better person, or really change the course of my life.

So pray if you feel its worth it, but in answer to the original question... about 10 years ago.

About 30 Minutes ago when I found out my dad was involved in a car crash on the M3 near winchester, car spun and ended up the wrong way in the outside lane! No one was hurt thankfully!

Other than that, I pray everyday, but its more like chatting with a friend or my dad, thats what God is to me
