Odd question inspired by a news segment on BBC news about Fluorinated water. They showed a person about to brush their teeth, putting the paste on the brush then they ran it under the tap for 3 seconds...

I DO THAT!!! but I've never seen anyone else do it. Do you???

I do, but I get that heart breaking feeling when I've put the paste too close to the edge and it just falls off with the water.

Bad times :(

I do it because otherwise the toothpaste doesn't spread properly. Well, it does eventually but it feels weird.

Also, the above regarding temperature.

I've always done that, so does my entire family and so does everyone I've ever seen brush their teeth.

I do that, but sometimes the water is far is too fast and makes the toothpaste fall off the toothbrush into the sink.:(

With cold water by the way.

Cold water tap - toothbrush - paste

Wet the bristles first tbh. Somehow feels as though my mouth is 'cleaner' and not 'claggy' (scientific term) afterwards.

wet brush, add paste, stick in gob, switch on brush, saw away.

But I'm a freak and use warm water (I remember that thread) as I used to have sensitive teeth. Using cold water was akin to that pain you get when you eat icecream too quickly.

For me it goes

Wet Brush - Apply Paste - Re-Wet Brush & Paste - Brush - Clean Brush - Dry Brush*

* I don't know why I do this, in my mind I think bacteria prefer wet brushes?
