Azureus here

Does uTorrent have a decentralized tracker thingy like azureus ?
i.e. so that when the tracker is down you can still connect to seeds/peers and keep downloading ?

You mean DHT? Yeah it has that (and encryption)

uTorrent has a rather cool WebUI which lets you control the application through the web - very handy feature.
