I mean surprises in that I don't think anyone will announce anything that will be out around the console releases of either system. We'll see more of the games obviously, but I have to think that if a game is due out for the release of either console, we'd know about it already :)
I think youre likely to be wrong - especially if Japan is delayed theyll no doubt try and launch stuff to fit with that. Sony for sure wont want that launch not to coincide with something, especially to appease Japanese customers...

Possibly, but to be honest I don't actually follow the Japanese games much as they don't tend to interest me a whole lot. Like I said though, I'm happy to leave the poll as is, or wait, I really don't mind :)

If the rumour of an XB1 Platinum Games exclusive is true then I'd be interested to see what it is. Presumably we'd find out at TGS?

Anyway I still think we should do it now :)

Also when this poll started I didn't even consider that it meant 'at launch' so my vote would have been for neither. But I actually voted for both!

I guessed you didnt...

Im just working on the logic, that MS delayed EU countries and then gave away FIFA14 to EU, considering Japans on the other end of both console releases (I think they are even still behind the delayed EU countries?) Im sure they wont be forgotten and no doubt theres quite a few of us that are far more interested in stuff that isnt FPSes :p

But have at it, Im sure it will please more if you just restart the poll...

Just to add some flames to the console war:

AMD: PS4 performance advantage over XB1 bigger than many expect thanks to hUMA

http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meld...et-Unified-Memory-Xbox-One-nicht-1939716.html

(in german annoyingly)

here's a trnslation:

Although each AMD hardware is in the next game consoles Xbox Playstation One and 4, only the Playstation 4 will support the humanitarian technology for a shared memory area. This explained AMD's senior product marketing manager Marc Diana opposite c't at Gamescom. This is likely the 3D performance of the Playstation 4 is still much more put on the Xbox One, as adopted at the current level. AMD finally sees the heterogeneous uniform memory access as the key to the tremendous increase in performance of composite processors. AMD's future desktop processors combined the Kaveri series set on Huma.

Behind the scenes c't could also capture developers unofficial voices that see the 3D performance of the Playstation 4 very far from that of the Xbox One.

Back in April, AMD said manager Phil Rogers opposite c't that Huma specifically designed to accelerate 3D rendering performance, "game developers wanted to use extremely large textures for some years, but until now had to be a whole lot of tricks use, parts large textures to pack into smaller textures. because today must first be in a separate area of physical memory a texture before the GPU can process them. Huma with applications can deal more efficiently with textures. "More details to HUMA want to reveal to its developers conference in November AMD. (MFI)
