I'd say the PS2 pretty much stormed it's generation. Most sales and regarded as the best by gamers I'd say.
I'm tempted to go with the PS4 rather than continuing to upgrade my PC for gaming.
It looks like for at least a few years it will run the multiplat titles at a decent quality.
Sony have a much stronger range of first party IP's than Microsoft (IMO).
I also thought the software features they showed off at the original reveal looked really smart and game focused.
If I don't get a PS4 I'm quite happy to keep on drinking down the Nintendo Koolaid and playing everything else on the PC. The Xbox One looks a turd.
Is there ever a winner? I mean no one thinks the Wii is better than the 360 or PS3 but it sold more. The winners are the gamers I guess..
According to the podcasts I listen to it's actually $30,000. That came from an interview with a fairly well known Indie dev who couldn't justify the cost of releasing another patch. I think it was Fez.if thats true, $10k to fire a patch out is disturbing as hell.
I need to try the PS4 controller as that's the only thing that is still making me lean towards the XB1, I hate the PS3 controller, playing The Last of Us and it's an awesome game but I am longing for my 360 pad!
If they have sorted the controller then PS4 first and probably a XB1 about a year later, if the controller still sucks then XB1 first with PS4 about a year later!
I don't agree with some of the MS decisions but they don't actually impact me much/at all and I don't see any point boycotting them when I know there will be exclusive games on the XB1 that I'll want to play.
No Wii U option ? that console will have the best games the next 2 years

It's not really a next gen console and I very much doubt the 2nd part as well.
