Holy crap! Why is the PS4 owning this poll?

I thought the 360 was ahead? I really know too little to understand which is best at this present moment in time :(

So none of the rest of the prose isnt from the journalists experience when he played the demo of PS4 Blacklight: Retribution?

Maybe you misunderstand, my comment was regarding the quotes from the games communication manager. As I said they are hardly going to say it sucks are they.

Not at all, just seems a wierd conclusion youve made when replying to someone else who just posted the story and made a remark thats in line with the journalist said. Its the kind of thing most of us would derive as the main point from the story, I presume thats why XeNoN89 posted it :)

Thanks for clearing it up though - I guess its an insightful point you made though Mr Men as I wouldnt have spotted that in between what the journo said:
My Blacklight demo marked my first time holding the PlayStation 4's new controller, which I fell in love with instantly. It feels better in the hand, with more responsive buttons and far more manageable triggers than those on the comparatively obtuse DualShock 3. Blacklight on PS4 utilizes that controller extremely well — the PC version of the title has been lauded for its tight shooting mechanics, which have been adapted nicely to the new DualShock.
...
Shooting in Blacklight PS4 felt responsive, even though it used the DualShock's formerly maligned rear triggers. While the DualShock 3's squishy, convex inputs left a lot to be desired on the PS3 shooters which decided to use them for aiming and firing, the PS4's — while still slightly analog — do not disappoint. My demo was single-player, and the bots I was firing at didn't do much in the way of evasive maneuvering; the demo, Zombie explained, was to show E3 attendees what shooting guns on the new console feels like.

I'm very much undecided only one of my friends has preordered. I have always had an Xbox but I dont want the Kinect I also dont want to surf websites on my tv. I just want to play games with my friends.

Both

And so will most on here. As soon as they realise you will have to pay for used games on the PS4 as well, the hate on MS will subside. Sony may have said THEY won't charge you for used games, but they've said what publishers want to charge is up to them, which reads "Sony won't charge you, but everyone else will" :)

PS4 at launch I might get a Xbox One if microsoft get their act together.

I think buying an xbox anytime before will only send the wrong message to Mug-you-soft.

I decided I'm going to buy a PS4 first and will only buy an Xbox One second hand out of protest!

I've got a feeling Microsoft will be stopping preowned consoles as well. I reckon you'll have to register your console when you first turn it on.

Actually if they read what they are doing it is far from that, it's actually extremely well thought out, it's a shame you have to piece it together from several statements and wasn't covered at the media events.

I bet the poll would be different if Ms actually explained themselfs clearly.

you mean if they stopped contradicting themselves every other day. you have xbox live mods saying one thing and then larry major muppet saying the complete opposite.

the best thing ms could do now is have a special event with no videos or flashing lights and just say wtf is going on, as it stands its a muddled mess and waiting for it to launch and sort itself out isnt a good way of winning new customers.

I really dont think it would be the restictions to the current gaming paradiagm far outweigh the benefits, all weve found so far are small concessions. Its not like this poll is an aberration

PS4

I used to be huge Xbox and halo fanboy. Had the original Xbox with halo 1 and 2, then 3 different Xbox 360s with halo 3, reach, odst and 4. I think 343 industries haven't done halo justice and i was really disappointed with their effort.

Bungie has moved on to destiny and it is cross platform. Together with the higher specs and lower price point and the slew of mistakes MS is making I think its a no-brainer.

Console exclusives will be the real decider for me e.g. the AAA's developer's contribution to the next gen melee.

Second-hand games are drm restrictions aren't my primary concern: nice controller, pretty graphics and good games are.

It's not small conscious at all, and everything is going digital, which hp generally has huge restraints to the license. Not only are MS allowing you to share digital license you can sell digital license. So it's far from small concessions and is at ally better than physical.
Two people can't play a physical game at the same time.
Once you realise there is only digital license and no physical licenses it makes far more sense. Buying a physical game on xbone is absolutely pointless unless you have slow Internet speeds to download the game. They've still got physical disc that just give you a digital license as its a transitional period, keeps shelf space for advertising and keeps shops on sidish.
With digital licenses you can't just sell yourself that should be obviously, hence MS has provided a system to allow the transfer of the digital license, they take no cut, it's upto the publishers how much they charge if at all.
This is also why you have to connect every 24hours as its a purely digital license. I doubt they'll back down on this as if you said well if there's no Internet just check disc, you could just leave it disconnected and play copied discs all day long. Pretty much everyone has 24/7 Internet access anyway, so is no big issue.
For those two small cavets of going digital licenses you get a huge amount as a consumer, friends can just share your copy and don't even need the disc, you don't need to take a disc around a mates house if you went round to game, you still get to sell second hand. Two people get to play at same time, something you can't do with physical.
Multiplayer stays the same, you can't share multiplayer or simultaneously play with physical copies, so nothing ash change in that aspect.

Totally agree and have said as much, there's actually a fair bit of info out there now though, but not in a public presented way.

The system is the same as it is now. Nothing has changed.
