I don't think FM5 will suffer much, if at all. Considering the vast majority of us are online all the time anyway, the features like Drivatar should still work fine.Might finally be tempted to Pre-order an XO now, assuming FM5 isn't completely banjaxed by the removal of online required...
I may as well let the games build up a bit and wait for the inevitable Xbox price slash due to poor sales that this damage will have done.
Lol, thanks for making me spit out my drink in laughterIt's hardly 25 pages of insightful and intelligent debate though is it
I hope you're right on the price drop, I really do. More money in my wallet means more money on gamesWe shall see by Xmas I think you are wrong and the price is set up nicely to be cut to £399
As an interesting side note I wonder what the ramifications for the Valve "steam" based console are - this kind of rejection of DRM would seem to kill it stone dead.

I agree on a PC, I just wonder if this shows the console market isn't ready for that yet and that is what they were shooting for having pretty much dominated the PC market already.People accepted what Steam is a long time ago, they have won their fans on merit despite their distribution method..
I've never understood how the Steam Box would be good anyway. The only people that seem to be excited about it are PC gamers...who already have a PC that does more than that.
It just seems to me like a concept that has no market.
Wow, what a U turn.
Eat humble pie Don....kudos for actually listening though.
They haven't listened though, just running scared from the pre order numbers.
Exactly - you spoke with your wallet. The fact MS backtracked suggests they listened. That is listening. Unsurprisingly, like many other people I would imagine, I didn't contact MS direct and discuss things with them. I just didn't pre-order a Xbox1 - well, i actually cancelled my preorder when details started coming out. I've now reversed that.
Please no, that got old within 5 minutes of the reversal being confirmed.I nominate the Xbox One shall now be nicknamed 'Xbox 180', instead of the stupid 'Xbone' moniker it currently has.
