Which phisique?

tyler durden or mens health. There has been no-one since bruce lee with his physique. He was pure muscle but a perfect mixture of speed and power.

I have a friend with 'Bruce Lee' style physique - we both started climbing at the same time and he has generally exceeded me - but there are disadvantages to being that size as well...

Myself, I quite like the size I am. About 6"1 and I have something like 10.4% bodyfat, and weight 12st. I can run well at this weight, in fact I am getting sub-6 minute miles and hope to push this down further... and extend the distance as well...

I feel that I could be stronger for this weight, with more defined muscles perhaps - but fitness and healthy is the piriorty...

Can ** mate do 1 finger pushups, is he truly like bruce lee cos not even the top climbers in the world who are crazy strong are built like bruce lee. The mans life was training.

Tyler Durden in Fight Club
Exactly what I was going to say, too big = ugly to me, IMO your meant to look athletic and the word I like to use is "Healthy".
I think it's probably harder achieving a Tyler Durden sort of body than a body with huge muscles - I was working out my biceps for only a month and they look massivly out of proportion to the rest of my body so i stopped - its much harder being small + little amounts of fat + showing all muscles.

You trained your biceps for a month and they look massively out of porportion to the rest of you body... How small is your body? :p

As for being Tyler Durden sort of build being harder to achieve than people with lots more muscle (i.e my gran)... You're very missinformed. Don't get me wrong, he looks fine, but really he's just low bodyfat with a bit of muscle. Hardly gonna take years in the gym to achieve that? Cut some fat and maybe train once a week.

Would be my ideal build
And I reckon he'd have Bruce Lee in a fight too :D
1. Who the hell is that queer?
2. He wouldn't touch Bruce Lee ;)
3. If you had his build would you grease yourself up in that homo way for pics too?

1. Matt Hughes (UFC Welterweight Champion)
2. ;)
3. Probably not, no

edit: a less "queer" picture for you

It's really really not.

lol Gilly, Matt Hughes would kill Bruce Lee. Matt's not really that big either to be honest, he's strong though (for a guy his size).

edit: Keeping it within the ufc , i'd like Andrei Arlovski's build, seeing as he's the same height as me.

No need, ones a movie star, ones a proper fighter.
Lee was a proper fighter. He developed Jun Fan Kung Fu from Wing Chun Kung Fu and various other combat forms (including fencing). He also took part in many fights. The only person I know of who has matched his record is Gracie.

Exactly... For those of you quoting Tyler Durden (Brad pitt) as you ideal physique thats fine and all but you don't really need to be hitting the weights too much to be honest.

If I remember correctly Brad pitt was around 160 lb's in Fight Club with 14" arms. He looked good because he had an extremely low body fat percentage. When combined with excellent makeup and lighting his muscles looked a lot better than they truly were.

However, I have to admit when I first began training that was my goal too. Within months though I had achieved that look and surpassed it. Most guys would look similar to Brad in Fight Club if they dieted down enough. He didn't have that much muscle at all back then.

Yeah, and the Gracie family gets pounded on these days.
He gets my full respect for laying the path to mma though.
