Which Vacuum Cleaner?

If you're not limited by storage space get the Henry. If you want a smaller, more compact vacuum, get any of the Miele ones.

I have a Henry and my parents have a Miele (one of the Cat and Dog ones iirc) - there's not a lot of difference in cleaning ability, but the Miele own brand bags are more expensive than the Henry. The Miele is quieter than the Henry though.

This, Borrowed the old dears because my dyson lost all suction. Jesus couldn't believe the difference after a quick clean. Will be buying one myself for sure.

your dyson lost suction because you failed to clean the filters and the vortex bit has probably became blocked aswell.

either buy bags or be prepared to clean your hoover every few months

I purchased several vacuum cleaners, over the past year, the previous being a Russell Hobs cylinder offering 2000W.

I found they were all terrible (we have 2 cats). They lost suction within days, and the hair remover tools jammed up in no time (Yes I know how to clean the filters etc).

I then decided to buy a dyson DC14 second hand off gumtree for £60.00.

Best bloody purchase ever, its effortless cleaning, brilliant suction, cant go wrong.

I am not a dyson fanboy at all, I have heard Miele are also very good.

I have had many vacume cleaners from many manufacturers in my life and the conclusion I have come to is........

They all suck!!

...what? oh the door is over there, ok I'm sorry :(

Bags, didnt realise they still existed.

Be right back im off out on my penny farving. :D

We have a DC41, becuase it does a great job of vacuuming.

Got a Dyson DC24 here. Had it for 8 years, brilliant machine. Melted a couple of roller brushes due to not cleaning it often enough. But the spares are readily available and easy to fit.

I bought my new vacuum recently: knew I was going to go for Dyson or Miele. Saw a cheap deal on the Miele 6220, so purchase that and the 10 year warranty.

It absolutely sucks like a good un. The Cat and Dog comes with the better brush tool too which is great. My old machine was terrible.

Only problem with the 6220 is the bags are a bit small. But I can afford £2 every few months to replace it (vacuum 2-3 times per month).

We have a Miele and a Dyson, we use the Dyson - Miele's are very expensive to run compared to other bag vacs as you need to use their bags as the copies are useless and lose half the suction after one use!

Henrys are good for the garage and DIY but not good for carpets, cant think of the brand but posh carpet my folks have and they say to never let a Henry near it as they are far to powerful and damage the carpet where your Miele etc don't - folks use a Miele and love that so swings and roundabouts!
