Which Vacuum Cleaner?

i run a professional cleaning company. we use henry and miele. Miele are better overall but more expensive. I would never buy a telly tubby toy, sorry i mean dyson. 3 years ago i bought my first miele and it gets used every working day and is still going strong with nothing ever needing to be fixed.
 
Used to sell Miele cleaners years ago. Brilliant machines, the cat and dog model was very popular.

We have an iRobot Roomba vacuum, and then a vax wet and dry vac for shampooing.

Have you ever actually owned a dyson ? most people who insult them tend to just be spreading 5th hand opinions.

To be fait I think it lost suction because its about 10 years old and spent. In it's day it wasn't bad but that day is far gone. It's one of those old school yellow and grey stand up jobbies.

parents owned one each (divorced) and i didn't like either. at the end of the day it needs to suck which they all do, but then it's the extra which imo make miele the best, e.g. great cable rewind which still works great, very neat place to put the extras so they're always handy and not either lost or on the other side of the house when you need to quickly get into a crevice, the small size of perfect for stairs as you can put it up right and then let go, the suction speed control is great for when you need to be quiet

there is always loads of great reviews for miele and dyson, but then i usually only ever see bad reviews for dyson and rarely anything bad for miele.

With the endless complaints about taking one bag out of a Miele and putting another in, yes. I'll gloss over the reliability issues over the Dysons. A Miele will last until you get bored with it and throw it away. Twenty years is standard.
 
I have a few years old dyson cylinder thing, with rotating brushes on the main attachment (can be turned on/off)...

The only other attachment it has is the little thin nozzle thing it came with. I'm wondering if any of the attachment packs you can buy nowadays (including mini turbine head/mattress/upholstery/flexible nozzles) are compatible with it.

Does anyone know?
 
We've had a DC28 for the past 3 years and can't fault it, clean the filters every 2 months and have no issue with suction loss.

Can't be bothered with bag cleaners, even though I used to love the Henry I had at a crap job many years ago.
 
I'd say bags are less hassle than bagless. I always hated dumping the contents of the cylinder into a bin, you need a big bin and need to be careful not to get dust every where. With a bag I just take it out, in the bin and stick another in.
