Maybe the blue one contains more carnuba wax?... It's quite expensive stuff to buy, so the difference is likely to be only 3 or 4 %

/edit This is the bumph for the blue stuff:

A slightly different formulation of our regular Natty's, made for Dark colored cars to give an extra boost in depth and shine. Just like before, Natty's Blue can be applied in sun or shade and is still the easiest paste wax to apply and remove.

So I guess it's for darker cars.

I used my stepdad's tractor polish today (£15/bottle! :eek:

) and my car looks stunning now. He actually let me use it though, I don't think he'd believe me if I told him it was just elbow grease

Just got back from Halfords picked up the NXT wax, some turtle wax bug + tar remover which will come in especially handy now after driving home and finding a huge number of dead bug's and picked up some T-CUT to sort out a few hairline scratches. 3 for 2 offer saved me a fiver!

Technically yea, it's a fake wax. It's apparently a synthetic paint sealant and not a wax - I only recently learnt this. I've replaced it with Collinite 476S and I'll be trying it out tommorrow.

Would you be able to post pics of your car with the NXT and the 467?

I got some NXT in 3 for 2 and i dont think im that impressed by it, although ive only used it once.

I got the NXT as I was told it was good at removing swirl marks, and I have to say, it did that rather well, its just the end result seemed greasy rather than glossy. Even the GF commented that it wasnt as shiny as normal!

That's the Last time i use the NXT wax, left white streaks everywhere took forever to buff in, just annoying, I'll stick to my Resin Polish

Resin Polish and NXT Tech Wax are totally different products! You don't use either or, Resin Polish is not a substitute for NXT and vice versa.

I know they are, I mean I won't bother waxing in future and just use the Resin Polish. Does anyone know what i mean about white streaking?

Polish to shine up the paint, wax to protect it.

When you polish you effectively wipe out the wax and your paint is exposed to the elements.

I'm a fan of solid pure carnuba wax, personally I use Harly Wax but haven't tried any others to campare. I use Wax It Wet when I'm lazy or to just top up the shine.

What? NXT Tech Wax isn't a spray, it's a paste you apply using an applicator pad :confused:

By the sounds of things, he has bought the stuff you use to give the NXT a boost after being washed, instead of using the wax again.

Not a fan of any of the megs stuff tbh, i bought all the gear when it was flavour of the month a year or two ago, it doesnt last long and the finish is a touch oily.That said the megs pro range is very good, but its not easily available from the high st.

Best bet is get some Autoglym super resin polish, this will fill some swirls and is abrasive enough to remove some too, then apply a decent wax on top, poorboys,harley,zymol,victora and collonite to name a few.

Personally im using Collonite 915, £22 a tub, but the stuff lasts ages, they reckon you can go 3 months between waxes, mine has been on for 1 month and 4k miles and its still beading nicely.
