I use the Tech Wax stuff (blue/purple bottle right?)
is it fake wax then?
should I be using something instead of the tech wax for the longer lasting finish?
I do find the tech wax does lose is 'bubblyness' of water after a few days![]()
[TW]Fox said:Technically yea, it's a fake wax. It's apparently a synthetic paint sealant and not a wax - I only recently learnt this. I've replaced it with Collinite 476S and I'll be trying it out tommorrow.

[TW]Fox said:I'll do a thread once I've finished if you like, got some pics somewhere of when it was done with NXT Tech Wax as well so I'll chuck them in![]()
Tom|Nbk said:That's the Last time i use the NXT wax, left white streaks everywhere took forever to buff in, just annoying, I'll stick to my Resin Polish
[TW]Fox said:Resin Polish and NXT Tech Wax are totally different products! You don't use either or, Resin Polish is not a substitute for NXT and vice versa.
Tom|Nbk said:I know they are, I mean I won't bother waxing in future and just use the Resin Polish
Polish to shine up the paint, wax to protect it.Tom|Nbk said:I know they are, I mean I won't bother waxing in future and just use the Resin Polish. Does anyone know what i mean about white streaking?
[TW]Fox said:So how are you going to seal and protect the paintwork after polishing![]()
Tom|Nbk said:Go without or find another product, the fact it's a spray maybe dosnt help residue went all over the windows etc
The fastest way to re-energize your gloss and protection. Meguiar's NXT Generation Spray Wax builds on the results you have already achieved with NXT Generation Tech Wax. It's a spray-on "Booster Wax" that adds protection with superior polymer technology (ESP's) while restoring the deep, dark, wet-look shine. Use it dry for fast touch-ups, or use wet after washing your car to quickly restore the "Just-Waxed" look.
