Who Do You Support? 2011 Edition.

Well I'm hoping this thread uncovers some reasons why people don't post, If it doesn't, who cares, was worth a shot :)

Everton and you can have that **** Beckford back ;)

I barely use this section anymore for multiple reasons.

Biggest reason, the trolling. Forget loyalties to teams as I'm not a fan of the top four but it even irritates me the amount of people that just turn up to post lol posts at the bigger teams when they lose. It's pretty boring now.

Secondly to me it seems like a forum for fans of the top 4 rather than a discussion of the weekends football. As a fan of a smaller club/less forum fans etc what's the point on making posts about Evertons game, no one is that bothered and it gets lossed under a flood of posts about a tiny incident in a manu game, with links to youtube videos and comparisons on why something a chelsea/arsenal or liverpool player did 20 years ago.

Again I don't have a beef with those bigger achieveing clubs hogging the forum limelight, just for the rest of us whatever we post gets lost anyway when a 50/50 challenge turns into a 20 page argument on whether Nani is a diving **** or not (for example) and whether Gerrards a bigger diving ****(We all know he is, it shouldn't take up the forum).

I know the ruling has always been no club threads but I'd rather have one. Atleast then I could discuss the results with likie minded supporters instead of having to sift through 30 pages of Manu V Liverpool. I understand that if you are a fan of someone currently doing better this wouldn't be such an issue because 90% of the thread is about your team anyway.

Granted I'm sure people won't agree but you wanted to know why, so I have submitted my 2 cents :)

It's beyond boring. There's no harm in a bit of banter but at least post something original.

Surprisingly though, the majority of people that make those sort of posts are rival supporters of other 'big' clubs.

Liverpool.

Hehe this kind of reminds me of a game we used to play at work, I work in education and so over the course of a season I encounter several thousand teenagers, my dept used to have a little game where we would count the football shirts being worn by the students and tally them up over the course of a season. Was remarkable how each season the team topping the table would have the most shirts, was even more remarkable how one year you would see a student in a Utd shirt then the following year the same student would be wearing a Chelsea shirt, then the following year an Arsenal shirt and so on :D

(noticeably the number of students this year wearing Chelsea shirts has HUGELY dropped, the number of students wearing Spurs shirts has HUGELY risen though :) )
