Who has cheated on a partner and why?

I have more than once and I dont feel proud of doing it. Things werent right between us and I was looking for other things which I got from other people.

I should have finished with her before seeking out these other things but I just didnt have it in me to finish it, in a way I did love the person I was with.

But after 7yrs of being together I finally knew that it was never right and never going to work and I ended the relationship.

Broke both of our hearts but at the time it was the right thing to do.
Cheating on her was NOT the right thing to do and in relationships ive had since then I have not and will never cheat again.

^^ I was 14 and was offered sex while I was drunk :o

I actually feel quite ashamed now and I have never done it since. Cheating I mean. Also had a few ex's cheat on me and I don't want to put another person through that.
 
I have several times, just because I could. No planning involved, just beer. It's not clever and always I felt bad but I'd probably do it again if the opportunity arose.

Too many saints on here.

To answer the OP's question. Nope I never have and never would. Although from what I see in nightclubs these days it is extremely common. Half the girls that frequent them have steady boyfriends yet think nothing of snogging some random guy, grabbing crotches, chatting up blokes and many even go so far as to go home with complete strangers.

I think cheating amongst females in their late teens/early twenties is on the rise. But then again, I can only go by what I have personally seen and would never paint all women with the same brush.
 
Yes, when I was younger. I didn't know how to end the relationship, so I acted as if it was over. Not the smartest of things to do, but we learn from our mistakes.

I really don't understand that of women even though I am in that age group :/ Just seems so silly but ah well, guess there's loads of silly things people do.

I'm no saint but I do have respect for people's emotions and also commitment to my partner

I really meant those not in a relationship, talking from their past. I think it's quite obvious to everyone you personally would never go down that road, and fair play.
 
I've never cheated either. It's nothing to do with being a saint and everything to do with not even noticing members of the opposite sex because I'm so into the person I'm with.

Like luuuuurve blinkers!

Me either Haly. It sickens me to be honest. And that goes for the blokes that do it too. Thankfully some of us still have morals. :)

Lol that is very true mate. I don't pretend to know what the women are like in other parts of the UK let alone the world. It's quite possible that Essex really does deserve it's reputation and the rest of the world live like saints. I highly doubt that however. :)

I remember being extremely taken aback when I got out of a 5 year relationship at the age of 21. I was totally shocked by the antics of the women I met week in week out in the various nightclubs I went to. Being a regular I got friendly with a lot of them. I knew them to have boyfriends yet observed them flaunting themselves to any bloke that would take an interest in them. When questioned about this they honestly believed it to be normal.

The same girls however would throw a complete wobbly if they were to find out their boyfriends were even talking to other girls.

One girl I knew who was regularly cheating on her boyfriend was known for performing certain sex acts to pretty much anyone at the drop of the hat, be it in an alleyway, car or wherever. Time and time again I asked her "What would you think if your boyfriend was doing the same thing to you?" Her reply was "But he never would". My reply was "But if he did... What would you think?" Again all she came up with was "But he wouldn't do it".

Needless to say I never got a real answer from her. :rolleyes:
