Who has cheated on a partner and why?

I once hid some of my monopoly money to let H win, when she found out afterwards she nearly throttled me, sexual infidelity could only end in death so I haven't tempted fate.

Also I've never felt the slightest urge to cheat on her. :)

Its not about getting caught. Karma will sting you, whether it is through the actions of another or the opportunities that are missed by a person who cannot trust themself or a person who lies to others...

I've never cheated, I would never do it, I am sickened by people who do/will/want to.

I know how it would feel and what damage it does to peoples relationships (my dad cheated on mum that caused their devorce)
 
Hmmm.

I'm kind of being a bit naughty atm. I'm seeing two girls but have made no promises to either, I'm ending it with one of them before it gets out of hand.

I met my wife when I was 14 and we got serious at 16 and then married at 21. We got engaged 6 months before we wed so we could get more presents. That means I had 4.5 years of courting and to be honest there is no such thing as cheating if you are courting. You can only cheat when that ring is on the finger and you have made a committment. I was naughty in those years and did have a bit of fun but as soon as that ring went on her finger I never strayed again for 26 years nearly. The best part is that like all females she actually knew when I'd strayed.
 
Like a lot of people on here, I would never entertain it at all. i've only ever been in two serious relationships, one more serious than the other. I was always committed enough not to worry about sex etc. to want to run off with someone else. I cant imagine been in love with someone while at the same time having sex with someone else. Take the good with the bad surely :)

I've never understood the people that do cheat though. Not to knock the ones who do but I would actually like to know........Why did/would you cheat? Not wanting to flame people, but its something that I seriously dont understand. If a relationship aint working for whatever reason surely its best to end it before moving on to have sex with someone else. Unless its a case of wanting to test the cake before finally taking the whole thing. Oh and alcohol is no decent excuse :p If you can't handel it dont drink it lol.

At the end of the day in the book of "MarkyMark" treat people how you want to be treated :)
 
I cheated once, it didnt happen in a very nice way though, i was 14 at a house party had waaay too much to drink and went to sleep in a room, and my boyfriends close friend took advantage! I was bored at the time in the relationship, and i didnt exactly scream from the rooftops for him to leave me alone, but i wasnt in much of a position to do much! It took me about 2/3 weeks to own up to it, but i had to it was killing me inside with guilt. I know perhaps if i wasnt drunk then it wouldnt have happened so i regret that but its taught me a lesson never to cheat again!
 
No, I've never cheated nor would I, it's incredibly unfair to your partner, though I have betrayed my girlfriend's trust once, went round a close female friends house without telling her. Never screwed up again after that :D
 
I once cheated when playing against cazzz in a game of manopily (I told her the rules where diff from what she thought)
does that count, also how do you spell manopily?
 
Never cheated while I was in a relationship, but was having some fun with a girl involved in a relationship. I learnt very quickly that its not the way I am, it was incredibly selfish of me. I'm glad I never did the deed with her, although it was always in work we mucked around...

They are lots of reasons why people cheat, for some its a distancing from a particular bad break up, my last relationship towards they end we were apart a lot and we both didnt want to be there, but we had so many joint commitments for the next few months that it was draggin on, for 3 months my ex was horrible to me, would ignore me, shout at me for no reason, fly off the handle at any thing. I was out one night and got talking to a few girls, they made me feel good about my self again, one thing led to another and I ended up cheating on my now ex, and frankly I never had the feelings that I wanted to marry her (different story but she was 25 i was 20, she wanted kids now i didnt), we still have interlinking friends which made it even more complicated but I have moved on and I wish her all the best in her future.

As for would I do it again, I cant say, I never go out with a girl and go "tonight im going to cheat on you" they are lots of factors which lead to it and its not as black and white as everyone wants to make out. a lot of short term girlfriends I have not really cared about in the way I would someone I was serious with so it does not go along the same lines. But then again I know the girl friends in the past have probably cheated on me and yet it doesnt bother me, if its not meant to be then its not meant to be.

Fate is a strange thing.
